The wolf rose and turned to face her, looking confused at her jest and distinctly uncomfortable. What? Had the idiot never seen a she-wolf before. Before she could say anything else, Cybil was there and Violet found herself reaching out to take her hand. Picking herself up with just one crutch would have been nearly impossible. Steady on her feet now, she watched the wolf stammer out what sounded like an apology and his name before he darted away and disappeared into a room. Oookay, that was weird. Following Cybil's next directions, she headed down the hall until she finally reached the room. Inside the room, her two bags sat neatly against the wall while Boomer's travel cage sat on the desk. She had senr his usual cage ahead and it leaned against the wall waiting to be set up. Crossing go the desk, she pulled the cover off and smiled as the bird lifted his handsome head and gave the bird equivalent of a smile. Swinging open the cage door, she extended her wrist and the bird immediately stepped up, talons curling gingerly around her flesh.

Ben flashes an easy going smile, unconcerned by the she-wolf's hostility. Judging by her power level, she was strong but he was ever so slightly stronger. Besides, she was a small wolf compared to him.
"Aw, don't get your tail in a bunch, toots." He responded, purposefully trying to annoy her. He didn't really care that she was on his turf. Loners deserved a safe, human free place to hunt and this was her best bet. Glancing the way he came, he wondered how Violet was getting on. He could sense her nearby, and for the moment at least she seemed at peace. Probably playing with that bloodthirsty bird of hers. Straightening, he slid a sly glance towards the she-wolf. "Well, duty calls. I'll catch you later, darlin." Turning, he trotted back into the trees, jerking his head towards Serenity as he passed her. He had sensed her the moment she had arrived.

Serenity let out a growl of frustration, as her efforts at eavesdropping undetected
had all but utterly failed. The one good thing was that the female hadn't noticed...
so Serenity was mostly successful. Picking herself up, she began chasing after Ben,
until she was only a few feet behind him. Despite being here the longest, Serenity
had had no idea that this territory, her territory, her pack's territory, wasn't...
really...theirs. The idea made Serenity scowl, her lip curling a bit. Letting her
face fall back into a blank slate, the girl followed Ben for a while, focusing solely
on his tail as it swished back and forth, back and forth in front of her. It was

almost hypnotizing in its own way. Back over the tree root, around the pond, heading back to the house. Warm puffs of smoke ventured out of the chimney, and Serenity knew that Chef had taken out the big guns the minute her "daughter" had left the cabin. It was all Serenity could do not to drool at the faint smell of pies and cookies and cakes galore.

( Elizabeth. ) ✶ ( 001. )

Postby haru ; » Tue Dec 13, 2016 12:54 am

        x) ) xELIZABETH
        ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━
          ( gender ) female. ( age ) eighteen. ( role ) huntress. ( location ) arriving at evergreen. ( tagged ) mika, cybil.

xxxxThe lush, green blades of grass and leaves brushed gently against the snow white wolf's pelt as she weaved through the towering castles of wood. It was a forest with spectacular opulence; umber brown, ancient trees with great knotting branches adorned in all its verdant finery surrounded her like a grove of watchful guardians. Deeper into the tangled heart of this mysterious, foreign territory, the various scents, sounds and sights that assaulted her senses grew more intense and spellbinding. The exquisiteness of dawn's light as it cast upon the leaf-strewn ground and great gnarled roots like the mighty backs of dinosaurs. The songbird's cry that was melodious and alluring, like an elixir to the soul. Every now and then, she would come to a halt in her tracks and raise her muzzle to the skies, tasting the crisp morning air and swivelling her ears. Then she would be off again through the large woods at a fast paced trot.

Her new school was near. Elizabeth Blackburn could scent it in the wind. A jumble of many different werewolf smells — scents of the new faces she would meet and get to know soon — stood out distinctly against the duller smells of nature. This propelled herself forward, like an indescribable drive burning like a fuel within her heart as she coiled her hind muscles and broke into a brisk run. Slender legs swallowed up ground with each great leaping bound. The trees and shubbery flashed past in a blur, giving way to the white figure as she bolted closer and closer to her goal, keen gaze trained completely onto the winding path ahead. She missed the thrill of running through the woods. This adrenaline was coursing through her veins and pumping energy back into her tired soul, urging to move like a cheetah. To race forward. The curling breeze picked up as well and roared into a wind, whipping past her, skimming across her fur, filling her with renewed light. Sprinting at such an incredible speed where she could barely feel the grass beneath her paws was almost intoxicating to Elizabeth, and she wanted to drink in every moment of it while it lasted. But of course, nothing could last forever.

Just like her childhood energy and happiness.

Elizabeth was, unbelievably, a daughter of an Alpha pair. She was the star. Promising, gifted, extremely bright for a young girl of her age. She was destined to walk the path of her parents. All that ripped mercilessly from her in the blink of an eye even though it had been so dear to her heart... Because of her status. Her dominant status was the source of this insatiable waterfall of sadness and she longed to puncture it, to rid it from her life for eternity. The reason why she was shunned by her very own packmates like a leper as she was not deemed worthy enough to contain the blood of an Alpha, the blood of greatness, the blood of talent. When it so rightfully should have been given to someone higher. All this TALENT gone to waste. Elizabeth had envisioned herself in her mother pride of place, ruling the pack with a compassionate but firm heart. It was never going to happen. The grief of losing her position ate into her heart like poison, thrumming through her body and filling her with an indescribable pang of bitterness and dysphoria.

Shaking her head slightly to rid herself of the depressing thoughts, Elizabeth began to slow down gradually. Already she could espy a cluster of two storied cabins in the near distance. They weren't at all what she was expecting. In fact, Evergreen Reservation looked welcoming and beautiful. It consisted of one large wooden cabin and several smaller ones branching out, all with warm, yellow light flooding out the windows. Perhaps this won't be so bad after all, a voice within her head whispered. Nearly hopefully. Rekindling the flickering fire left of her spirit, Elizabeth stopped to a complete halt at the very edge of the woods, where the trees flanking the path had disappeared some way back and the sense of magic in the air had vanished. There was a sudden burst of light. Where the elegant wolf should have been was now an eighteen-year-old girl clad in fairly smart attire and with soft raven locks curling across her captivating hazel eyes. Heartbeat quickening with trepidation, Elizabeth made her way over to the front of the first cabin. She could not help but notice a sleek car parked right in front of it, and the driver had a few bags stacked neatly before him. Hugo Deraneav was not only a serious man of honour, but also her chauffeur, and she respected him greatly. Allowing a ghost of a smile to etch itself onto her soft pale pink lips, Elizabeth seized her bags and nodded at him once in recognition. She had packed her art materials, including her sketchbook, pencils and a small box of paints. There was also another bag specially dedicated to her favourite books. Elizabeth had always been more inclined to the aesthetics than clothing and lavish makeup like other girls her age usually were.

She turned away from Hugo to face her new school. Sucking in a deep breath, she ascended the three porch steps, wincing internally at the shrill creak that shattered the peaceful silence. Was this the right decision? It was too late to turn back now. Memories of her beloved parents swam before her and coalesced into a random stream of images: A place where you can learn. A place where you will grow both physically, and mentally. Slender fingers stretched out and grasped the silver doorknob.

The door swung open, revealing a group of people. So much noise and chatter. It assualted Elizabeth's head. She singled out two girls around her age, one of light purple hair falling down to her waist, and another with blonde hair like cornsilk and surprisingly kind eyes. Now or never. "Hello. I'm Elizabeth."

Mika's red amber eyes was pulled once more to the door as it opened revealing another girl with baggage in her hands. Well she definitely couldn't stay on the couch now. Not with two new pack members with luggage. Mika turned around quickly rising to her feet before lending a hand to Cybil as her eyes met Elizabeth's warmly. "Welcome! I'm Mika, this is Roisin, and this is Cybil the new packs beta." She informed her with a sweep of her hand that wasn't being offered to said Beta. "Your not the last one to show up if that is any relief. I was just telling Roisin here that the rooms are upstairs with signs on the doors telling who's is who's. You can freshen up if you want. Dinner will be ready shortly if you inhale." Mika breathed in but blushed when her stomach answered by growling. Legit growling. "Sorry. Um, can I help either of you with your luggage?" She asked nodding towards the bags in their hands.

OOC:. Keeping it short so the others can reply as well lol.

[ Cybil & Amos ]
"On the whole, human beings want to be good,
but not too good, and not quite all the time..."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Amos didn't even bother to look up from
his book when he next spoke, greeting the boy
that had wandered into his little alcove.
"And what brings you to this elusive
room little pup?"
When the Omega spoke,
his voice was like honey being poured into milk,
deep enough to be powerful, but soft and soothing
none the less.

Only after his chapter was finished did Amos
glance up, earthy brown eyes surveying the new
intruder to his peace. A thoughtful hum filled the
man's throat and he shut his book with a soft thump.

"Hm. Shy posture, not used to being aggressive to
other wolves. Probably a mid power level. Passive
attitude. Not a fighter or leader. Hunter maybe?"

A sniff, and Amos tilted his head curiously, "No.
you don't smell like earth. Healer then. To quiet
to be an apprentice. So then you're the lead healer.
Hayden Rhee."
After his observation and conclusion
was finished, Amos opened his book again, going
back to reading.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Cybi offered a friendly smile and a wave,
her bright eyes shimmering as she accepted Mika's hand
to stand up. A light blush dusted her cheeks, but she
attempted to cover with a not so subtle cough and a
harried greeting to the newcomers. "Hello! Welcome
to the pack. We're glad you both could join us."

As she saw Mika hesitating to take the luggage from the
girls, she went ahead and helped out, picking up spare bags
and hauling several over her thin shoulders before nodding
to Mika. "I'm sure you can get the others hon." A small
smile and Cybil took a step to the steps.
"Right this way to the rooms ladies."

As she moved, Cybil felt her hand twitch, remembering
how Mika had grabbed it to help her up. A deep breath
and Cybil was calm and chipper again. She'd focus on things
like that after the pack was settled. Still, she couldn't help but
glance at the omega, a small smile tugging at her soft lips.

Y'all already know...mobileeee.

Mika blinked as Cybil once more took charge brushing past her to grab some of the luggage. A small laugh escaped her lips at being called hun as she moved forward to grab the rest of them. "She's efficient at showing rooms." She fake whispered to Elizabeth, and the other girl before holding out an arm for them. "After y'all of course." She told them looking up at the last second to catch Cybil looking back. Was her cheeks a bit rosier then normal? Mika brushed it off as being in her head, but she shot the beta a grin before falling in behind the others. She paused before taking the first step of the stairs to look back at the door wondering how long they had before another pack member showed up. She mentally shrugged before heading up the stairs her purple hair bouncing on her shoulders with every step though it was long to the small of her back. She was actually born a blonde, but dyed it over the years. With purple hair it surprised others when she shifted into a golden tinted small rounded in certain places wolf. The red amber eyes was the only thing that connected the two forms. Right now those eyes were a brighter tinted red in mirth.

    Hayden Rhee / Healer / age 19 / male
Currently: Exploring the library, human form / tagged: Amos

Hayden had been focusing all his attention on the stranger sitting in the alcove, so it's not like it should have been a surprise when he raised his head and acknowledged his presence. But it was. Something about that smooth, silky voice, combined with the casual way he didn't even look up from his book as he spoke, had some kind of powerful effect on Hayden and he jumped a foot in the air before blushing and rubbing the back of his neck. He stared at the young man in front of him for a good several seconds as he wondered how on earth to reply to someone his own age calling him 'pup' -- and even stranger, somehow the term didn't even sound cheesy or weird when the stranger said it in such a tone -- by which time the stranger abruptly shut his book and looked up to meet Hayden's eyes.

Hayden's posture became even shyer the second the stranger pointed it out, but he made an effort to straighten his shoulders as the other wolf continued to meticulously list traits. When he mentioned his guess of a hunter, Hayden was about to open his mouth and correct him, until he realized that this was some sort of game-- and sure enough, a second later the stranger revised his guess. Hayden allowed him to come to the correct conclusion, and by the time the stranger identified his name, the healer wore a somewhat awed smile on his face.

"You're right, that's me. I'm Hayden," he confirmed, even though the stranger didn't seem the least unsure about his decision and had even gone back to reading his book. Hayden would usually never interrupt another's reading, but in this case he couldn't seem to help the powerful curiosity that had stoked about this mesmerizing stranger, wanting to know something in return for all the details about Hayden he had seemed to read out of thin air.

"And you...? You're very confident, but you're sitting here in the library instead of showing the new pack members around," he ventured to speak out loud, trying to copy the other wolf's manner of deduction with a sheepish and playful glance shot in his direction, "So you're probably not the alpha, and I've already met the beta. I want to say you could be the lead fighter or hunter, but... something tells me I'm not hitting the mark...? Just a feeling that I get around you..." Hayden laughed a little. "You're a bit better at this than I am. You'll have to enlighten me the rest of the way. Would you mind sharing your name?"

Amos let a small smile play across his lips
as he glanced over his book at the healer. The
boy was certainly an amusing one. Not aggressive
enough to incite Amos's usually troublesome nature.
He was cute though. Amos would give him that.

"I'm Amos. The pack's Omega. You best be careful
around me pup."
There was that curious nickname
again. "If the higher members see you fraternizing
with an Omega, you might lose respect among the pack."

Another smirk, another teasing glimpse into the stormy
personality that was Amos.

It was obvious that his words didn't hold much weight,
and what he said in most packs would be true. But there
was something about the way he warned Hayden, as if he
were issuing a challenge.

Another glance, a wink flashed his way. Amos was enjoying
this little game of cat and mouse. If the other members of
the pack were even half as curious as Hayden, this would be
a very fun time for the omega indeed.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Going to leave Cybil alone
until the other two wolves reply.

Van felt a certain pressure in his throat, but did not dare to sigh as he walked up the path to the building - his new home - in a quick step.
It was still hard for him to look at the reserve as his new home, at the "new" pack as his new pack.
A trace of melancholy in his eyes, the young man glanced across the landscape before pushing the handle with one hand. The door was open, which he had expected somehow.
The corridor was empty, but Van did not take long to find out where to go. The voices of the others were not very quiet. But he did not feel that bad because of his noisy packmates, after all he did not have to look for the others like an uninformed fool.
With disciplined slow steps the fighter followed the noises, while he inwardly hoped that the alpha was already there. He had no desire to deal with others when he did not know who maybe had some special rights or stuff like that.
Just before he turned a corner, behind which he suspected the others, he shouldered his big backpack again and straightened his chest with a serious look.
Just do not allow yourself mistakes.

    Hayden Rhee / Healer / age 19 / male
Currently: Talking to Amos, human form / tagged: Amos

"You're the omega?" Hayden's eyes widened in surprise for a few seconds of silence before his nose crinkled apologetically. "Sorry, I didn't mean to say it like that. I was a little surprised... that my guess was so wrong," he said with a short laugh, propping one hand on his hip. Knowing that Amos was an omega, he had to admit, it completely changed the way he thought of the other wolf, not that he'd been thinking anything truly substantial before, but now his head was suddenly filled with questions. Hayden knew only the barest sketch of pack hierarchy, what little he could learn from books and websites in preparation for coming here, but growing up in a human city meant that the intricacies of werewolves' societal structure were somewhat lost on him despite his parents' best efforts to teach him about their culture.

In the case of Amos, Hayden was a little surprised to hear him warn the healer off him as casually as he might offer an opinion on dinner. Despite the personal nature of it, there was no resentment in Amos's tone of voice, but there was something else... It was a hint of a challenge, as if Amos was curious to see how much importance Hayden put on gaining the respect of the higher members of the pack. ...Perhaps this was just unbased speculation, but somehow Hayden got the strong impression that Amos himself cared not at all about the opinions of those wolves.

That slightly challenging lilt to the end of his sentence, combined with the diminutive nickname that somehow fit and the flashy wink that didn't seem overblown but simply fitting on Amos's face... It was tempting to wonder what thought process went on behind the smooth exterior of Amos's mysterious behavior. Hayden tried to temper the charged atmosphere with a lighter tone, though he wasn't sure he succeeded entirely. "Hopefully I'll gain respect among the pack for my healing skills, not my choice of companion," he suggested with a smile, "so I don't mind. Unless, of course, you're secretly tired of my company and are trying to get rid of me, using your pack rank as an excuse?" Hayden's eyes flashed down to the book held in Amos's hands. "It'd have to be quite the scintillating read, for you to prefer it over my dazzling personality," he joked. "Care to tell me about it?"
