Marley has owned Clink the screech owl since
she was nine. Clink is a difficult creature, she
refuses to listen to anyone but Marley and
never delivers mail on time. You better not
make fun of Clink though, because she can
tell, and her fury is strong for a small owl. No
one will ever convince Marley to get rid of her
treasured pet, even if she's terrible as a
postowl and to everyone else.

Marlene Isabelle Garner is a proud Canadian. Her
grandparents moved over from Europe when their
children were young. Since crossing the ocean at
that time wasn't the easiest, and they didn't know
of any wizarding schools near their new home,
none of their four children went to one.

Therefore, Marley's father desperately wanted to
send his children to the school he didn't get the
chance to attend. The older child, Jared, did
everything their parents could ever want. He was a
prefict and top of his year. He was also a
Ravenclaw, just like practically every relation
before him. So you can imagine everyone's shock
when their other child (who was not as impressive
as the son, though still a promising witch) was
sorted into Slytherin. In fact, most of the family is
actually scared of her now.

None of that bothers Marley though. She's perfectly
comfortable with who she is, and if who she is, is
a Slytherin, so be it. She has the cunning, ambition
and determination of a true Slytherin. She might
have been a Ravenclaw, but she just doesn't care
about grades and rules as much as they do.

Marley's patronus is a
abraxan winged horse, and
for a good reason. She
loves flying, in all forms,
especially winged horses.
Marley grew up in a muggle
community, though she
never went to public school
as her and Jared were
home schooled in both
magic and muggle subjects
until they were eleven. But
every year, they would go
see their uncles in Europe.
One year they went to a
zoo full of magical
creatures. Marley was
instantly drawn to the
winged horses. When they
returned home a week
later, she begged her
parents for horse riding
lessons so she would know
what to do if she ever got
the chance to ride a
winged horse.

Something to note about Charlie that
surprises most people who get to
know him well, is that he's allergic to
many things. He doesn't look like the
stereotypical kid with multiple
serious allergies. He's tall, muscular
and gives no indication to any
discomforts. Yet, Charlie wears
contacts, has asthma and is allergic
to; dust, pollen, cats, shellfish and
cantaloupe. He knows contacts are a
muggle invention, but their too
useful to pass up, and because of
them, nobody, not even the boys in
his dorm know he needs glasses. He
takes medication every day, both
muggle and magical to keep up his
health. That, paired with his
complete secrecy on the subject,
hides it from everyone. No one but
the school kitchen staff and his few
closest friends are aware of his less
than perfect health. So far nobody
has tied the lack of cantaloupe and
shellfish at the Gryffindor table to
Charlie yet.

Charles Edward Theodore Kingsley, Charlie if
you don't mind. Charlie is pure blood from a
rich English family and an only child. He's
quit proud of his lineage, being from one of
the few rich, pureblood families that's not
entirely Slytherin. No one was surprised
when he was sorted into Gryffindor, since
you could describe him as brave, bold and
competitive.

Charlie is actually very irritated that
Hogwarts is trying to get kids from all over
the world to attend. He feels that the school
belongs to his people, and the foreigners
should go to their own schools. Charlie's
used to having anything he wants, and that
really hasn't changed through school. He
always has the best stuff and he just
naturally gets all the attention he wants by
being himself; friendly, boisterous and
always willing to join in on a conversation.
He's not nosy, but he picks up on social
cues, you can't lie to him easily. He does
tend to insert himself where he isn't wanted
though.

Charlie does average in school, never
studying unless cramming for a test the
night before. However he is a very
accomplished quidditch player. He was a
chaser for two years and a keeper for the
past three. This year he has big plans. He
intends to be both keeper and captain of

Charlie's issues with animals are just short
of legendary. Horses don't like him, owls
don't like him, pigeons always poop on him
and he's allergic to cats. First year he went
up to the owlry, and when he reached out
to pet one got attacked... by four
different owls. Fourth year they were
introduced to winged horses, and he got
kicked in the head. Luckily he was alright,
but it was close. That's why Charlie didn't
have a familiar until this year. His mother
got him a 'European Fire-bellied Toad' as
an off to school present. Needless to say
he wasn't terribly excited, but his mom
looked so happy to have found him a pet
he might get along with, so Charlie
excepted the amphibian and the
terrarium with fake joy. His mother
gleefully let her son know that his new
toad was named Risa. (laughter in Latin)
Charlie's not particularly pleased with
his new pet, she's only about 30cm long
and not particularly interesting.

the quidditch team, with Gryffindor winning
both the quidditch tournament and the
house cup. This means he'll be watching his
housemates for potentially point deducting
behavior. Charlie's usually a nice guy, but he
can occasionally be a bit of a jerk. He
never, ever backs down from a challenge,
and he always plays to win. He is also very
loyal, sometimes causing him to do rather
nasty things as payback, another reason
not to cross him.

Growing up in the scottish highlands
means that she had amazing views and
