Violet turned, her hazel green eyes sweeping over the approaching boy. He didn't look much more than a few years older than her - nineteen or twenty tops in her opinion - which was weird seeing as he was b apparently her new mentor. She had been expecting someone older but since she herself had only recently started her training, she couldn't really protest. Offering a slightly hesitant smile, she lifted her hand from the wall, leaning her weight precariously on her lone crutch and extending her hand to shake his before dropping it back to her side.

"Its nice to meet you, Hayden. I'm sure we will get along just fine." She assured him, forcing a confidence she didn't feel into her voice. The sound of pawsteps rapidly approaching caught her attention then. Leaning around Hayden and Cybil, placing more weight upon her crutch than was safe, she were down the hall as the wolf wheeled into sight. Unfortunately, no one had the time to react before he hurtled into her, sending her crutch flying. She yelped as she hit the ground hard, confident she would have a bruise the size of Texas on her derriere within the hour. Groaning in pain, she sat up and glared at the wolf sprawled out beside her. He was male, she realized with a start. Up til this moment, Hayden had been the only male she had encountered. Despite her annoyance, she felt a genuine smile curving her lips as she stared at him. "You know," she drawled, a hint of a southern drawl edging her words, "typically the term 'sweep her off her feet' is just an expression. I dont think Prince Charming bowled Cinderella over when they first met." She said with surprisingly relaxed chuckle.

Serenity clapped her hands together, shaking off the last of the spice powder she had
used to season the chicken. Chef was finishing up the last two dishes, and as Serenity
opened her mouth to ask if the older woman needed any help, she waved the dirty
blonde away.
"Just because I'm older than dirt doesn't mean I can't do anything
by myself. Go make some fr-"
Chef paused for a moment, reconsidered what she had
been about to stay, and started over.
"Go get some fresh air. You've been cooped up in here since the first of them arrived."

Serenity scowled, lip curling. She would much rather stay in here with Chef and cook for hours. Going outside would mean passing the others that had recently arrived, and the dirty blonde didn't want to have to deal with them. But the teen knew better than to argue with a woman that had unlimited access to a fat wooden rolling pin, and so instead she turned on her heel and stomped out. The nearest door to Serenity was the main entrance, and people kept bustling in and out. Waiting for the newest arrival to begin the trek up the stairs, the dirty blonde dashed out the door, the smell of pine filling her nose. Chef had been right, as usual. Serenity had needed this break. Launching herself into the woods, the teen focused on the bundle of frantic energy within her that was begging to be let out. With a burst of warmth and light that near blinded the girl, she landed mid-stride in wolf form. Now that Serenity was on all fours, she was able to go faster than before. Despite being a fighter, Serenity was of smaller stature- only 5'6'' and 128 pounds in human form, and was lighter on her feet. However, it didn't take away from her viciousness, which was a definite plus. Launching herself over a large tree root, Serenity let out a quick bark of happiness. She may not enjoy being a werewolf, due to past mishaps, but she couldn't help but love the feeling that came with being free to do as she pleased within the forest. The girl continued to race on, paws pounding against the forest floor. She outran her worries, her fears, her anger, her depression, and just became one with nature, as a wolf is known to do. Abruptly, Serenity stopped. A foreign smell wafted past her. Female...without a pack. Another, more familiar scent mixed with it. Benjamin's. Benjamin had been one of the first to get here, and though they hadn't spoken, she had found him to be a comforting presence. Almost...brotherly. Curious, the girl padded for a few minutes in the direction of the source of the smell until she nearly crashed through a bush and right into Benjamin. Holding herself back, and thanking the heavens above that she was downwind, Serenity laid herself down on the grass and listened in.

And just as she had predicted, her peace was now over. The red and cream wolf's ears barely twitched as she slowly turned her head to glanced over her shoulder and her icy eyes took in the wolf before her. He was a bit larger than she, but that wasn't new; it didn't really matter to her. She noted that his stance was rather dominant with his tail curled over his back and his head high, but again, this did not faze Kathrine. Instead, she evenly locked her expressionless gaze on his, her head held up and firm, her tail relaxed, and shifted her weight on her paws to face him, "I claim no pack as my own and so all unsettled grounds are free for me to roam upon." Her tone was icy as it usually was and so for the most part, it was unintentional, but it was still present. It wasn't exactly hostile, but it certainly wasn't open and friendly either. Kathrine's eyes flitted over him briefly, noting his strength and guessing his speed. Her past had taught her to be ready for a fight or to out run others, which is why her muscles involuntarily tensed as she stood there, her paws softly kneading the dirt in anticipation. Suddenly, her ears flicked over to the bushes nearby, thinking she'd caught the sound of movement. It soon quieted however and so she wasn't sure what to think, but it certainly didn't help her muscles to relax.

She blinked her eyes to try and slow the storm of swarming thoughts as Kathrine forced herself to focus on the wolf she could see and knew was there. With a narrowing of her eyes slightly, she spoke again, "And there is no fooling me. This is loner territory; a land not truly claimed by any pack." Her lip curled a little in irritation as she also said, "And makes no difference to me who you are, so I'd advise you to not call me that."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
[ Cybil & Amos ]
"On the whole, human beings want to be good,
but not too good, and not quite all the time..."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

;;leaving Amos alone in
case anyone wants to interact
with him

Amos had found himself a perch in the cabin's
library, where he quickly set up a small alcove
of books and whatnot. Since everyone had started
arriving, the Omega had decided to entertain him
self with some stories, so as to not get in the way
of the other wolves. If a problem arose, he was
close enough to help, but otherwise, Amos knew his
place.

Of course, that's not to say the young omega wouldn't
be causing trouble later. He most certainly would cause
plenty of skirmishes and chaos once classes started. But
for now he had to sit, and watch, and observe. The best
way to control the system, was to know the system. And
Amos wanted to be sure that he had this new pack on
lockdown.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Cybil's warm smile quickly turned into a yelp as
the two wolves collided and Violet came tumbling down. Despite
her high ranking, the young blonde didn't have an affinity for bad
injuries, and could barely stomach the sight of another's blood.
And Cybil expected blood to be shed indeed, as Violet had already
shown a displeasure in her surroundings, the Beta was sure she
would have to break up a fight, and found herself inching closer
to the healer that had introduced himself earlier, hoping that his
skills were as good as she had been told.

To the Beta's surprise though, Violet took it all in stride, cracking
a joke as she looked down at the disgruntled and sprawled out
wolf. With a sigh of relief, she stepped forward again, allowing
Violet to choose if she wanted help getting up or not, and glancing
at the wolf next to her. "I suggest you shift back to human, so
that formal and proper introductions can be made."
The words
held only a soft hint of warning, as she didn't see any real threat
in his presence.

Glancing back to Hayden, she offered a rueful smile, "I'm sorry
that it's taking so long just to get down a hallway. If you want,
your room is at the end and on the left. But feel free to stay in case
any more accidents occur."
A short laugh jingled through the air,
before the beta turned her attention pack to her pack mates.

    Hayden Rhee / Healer / age 19 / male
Currently: Exploring the library, human form / tagged: Violet, Cybil, Cache, Amos

Hayden blew a sigh of relief as Violet appeared to be uninjured by the collision, even cracking a playful joke. He would have liked to stay and meet this new wolf, but his arms were beginning to ache from carrying his luggage and he knew he would have plenty of time to get acquainted with everybody later. In fact, these wolves would all be like his family for years and years to come. Though Hayden preferred not to think in such serious terms when they were all just getting to know each other.

Thanks, Cybil," he said with a smile. "See you guys later." With a wave at the other three, he turned and headed down the corridor with a little sigh of relief. They all seemed like nice people, but it was said that three's a crowd. Hayden didn't always do well in large groups of new people, though he was working on conquering his shyness. Dragging his luggage behind him, he soon found the room at the end of the hallway that had a little sign taped to it, with his name on. The one next to it bore Violet's name, just as Cybil had said. Hayden opened the door, idly wondering if they would be able to lock the doors, and entered his room.

Everything seemed to be neat and in order, but Hayden only stopped to set down his bags and things and freshen up in the bathroom before deciding to head back out. He was eager to explore his new home, and from the looks of it the grounds were beautiful as well as the indoor accommodations. With no real idea of where he was going, Hayden exited his room and wandered through the building, seeing many interesting things, but the first to really catch his attention was the door labeled 'Library'. The pull of discovering new reading material was just too great, and he pushed the door open and slipped into the room.

The sight of books all around gave Hayden a thrill, and coming closer to one of the shelves he saw that there was popular literature here as he'd seen in the library back in the city he'd lived in, as well as strange titles he'd never even heard of before, which must be books to do with werewolf culture and the like. He'd heard that these books existed, but they were difficult to get ahold of if you did not have connections to a pack. Walking among the shelves, Hayden turned his head and was a little surprised to see that he wasn't alone in the library; another person was present, a young man with wheat-colored hair, who was folded into a comfortable corner with stacks of books around him. The sight was oddly endearing, and Hayden hesitated only a moment before softly stepping forward in curiosity, though he didn't say a word. If the stranger was deeply concentrating on the book he was reading, Hayden didn't want to disturb, but he did wonder if the other would notice his presence and say anything.

Late! Late! Late! Late! Late! Was there ever a day that Róisín McLoughlin wasn't late? Her mother used to say that she'd be late to her own funeral, and she was almost sure that that would be true. Several wrong turns and a number of confused phone calls later, and she was now, finally, arriving up the driveway of the esteemed school. Letting out a low sigh, she paused, looking up to the warm, wooden building that would be her new home for the next... Who knew how long. Possibly forever. Looking out into the forest to her right, she sighed again, wishing that this were not a journey she had to make alone.
Kieran had chosen not to join her on this journey, his hot-headed stubbornness refusing to "bend knee under an Alpha", as he had put it. Her heartbeat raced in her ears at the thought of entering this welcoming, yet somewhat foreboding building alone, longing to have her older brother by her side. Her eyes caught a glimpse of russet fur moving through the trees, and her heart soared. It was probably just a fox, fleeing from her as she stood, but she hoped that it was not. Smiling softly to herself, she took a deep breath, turning once again to face the building. Shaking a strand of blonde hair from her face, she took confident steps forward, closing the distance between her and the building. Raising the steps, she could feel her heart in her throat, excitement, nerves and fear milling in her veins, creating a cocktail of adrenaline that made the wolf that slept under her skin want to awaken. She bit her lip as she neared the door, her heartbeat roaring in her ears now. Pausing, she laid down the bag that she carried which contained her clothes, raising her fist to knock on the door. Just before her knuckles came in contact with the wood, she paused. Should she knock? Was that something that was to be done? Or did she just waltz in? No, knocking was silly - this wasn't someone's house. Pushing the door open, she peeked around, blue eyes eagerly glancing around for another form. Slipping in around the door, shutting it quietly, her face split into a huge grin as she took in the warmth of the building she now stood in. Stepping forward, she opened her mouth, calling clearly through the house - "
              H-Hello?"

Amber eyes blinked quickly as the large body trotted through the underbrush, sensitive nose dipping and dodging in an attempt to avoid any brambles or low hanging branches that might cut the skin. An all-too-familiar scent caught his nose, and he slowed his pace, shifting his weight to the tip of his toes in order to move silently, like a ghost through the darkness. A voice in the back of his head told him that he might be in trouble if he were caught so close to the building, but he wasn't sure, so he continued on. Suddenly realizing that he was about to exit his cover, he lowered himself, his chest hitting the soft earth as his gaze fell on the girl walking up the drive. His tail wagged involuntarily as he watched his sister pause, his small, triangular ears trained to her movements. She cast a glance in his direction, and so he pinned his ears, lowering himself even further down to the ground. She couldn't have seen him, however, as her gaze seemed to search the area around him. Despite the fact that he did not join this... Society, pride welled up in his chest as he watched his younger-by-twenty-minutes sister make her way to this school, this place where she would be among her own kind, where she would be part of a pack. That little voice of anxiety telling him to get out of the area pushed itself to the front of his mind, and so he stood, still crouched, and made his way back from where he came.
He had left his belongings back towards the creek, and so he followed the trail of his own large pawprints, head low, but eyes and ears twitching constantly, more than aware of his surroundings. Soon finding the creek, he followed the deep mud to the small outcrop of rock where he had hidden his belongings. He wasn't entirely sure where he was going, or even what he was doing, but finding somewhere safe to spend the night was high on the priorities list. He couldn't go home - he had told his parents that he would be staying in the boarding school with Ró - so finding safety was priority. He didn't mind sleeping rough - finding a den where he could spend the night in wolf form would be ideal. His strong jaws opened as he approached his bag, picking it up almost gingerly, before disappearing back into the woods once again.
A few moments later, he emerged once again, using a strong arm to move a branch out of the way of his face. His baggy hoodie and jeans made him more than comfortable, and his running shoes were almost perfect for travelling. Sighing softly, he moved silently back towards the creek, finding a flat rock to perch upon. Tucking his long legs under him, he rummaged in the bag, pulling out an almost perfectly triangular sandwich, tucking in to it eagerly. Hunting still wasn't his forté, and he was always a sucker for PB+J.

Cache/ Male/ Fighter (5)/ Heterosexual/ Wolf/ Hallway & Bedroom/ Tags: Violetta & Cybil

Cache watched in horror as the girl with the crutch fell back on her derriere. If it had been anyone else who had knocked her down, he would have been impressed that she fell backward instead of forward. But now wasn’t the time to commend her for the slip up he made.

The brown, orange, and greyish wolf was unaware his mouth was hanging open until he head the splat of his saliva hit the floor. He quickly rolled in his tongue and clamped his jaw closed. He was utterly surprised that he hadn’t got yelled at. Cache physically jumped when he heard a chuckle rumble out of the fallen girl’s throat. That was definitely unexpected, as well as the sly comment. His body suddenly warmed with embarrassment.

Great job bro. You got yourself in trouble just barely after you set foot in your new home.

Cache knew an apology was required but he just couldn’t get his vocal cords to work properly.

“I…sorry. You…fell. Hurt?” The Beta, he suddenly realized was right next to the girl as well. She suggested he shift to make proper introductions. Sorry sugar, but that is not going to happen right this instant. I can't even string a few words together to complete a full sentence.

“Cache. Find room. Uh, later!” Cache made a quick exit to the room that had the scent of his bags in it. He felt so warm that he felt his fur was about to burst into flame. Luckily the door was open, so he swiftly made his retreat, then closed the door with a kick of his hind leg.

His lungs gasped for breath as he leaned his furry head back against the door. An irritated growl escaped him as he tried to shake off his embarrassing first impression.

That won’t happen again, if I have anything to say about it,” Cache huffed in exasperation to himself.

He heeded his Beta’s advice and shifted back into his six foot toned body, so he could unpack his stuff. Hopefully that little chore would be successful in cooling his jumbled emotions. Cache quickly set to work getting settled into his new home.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
[ Cybil & Amos ]
"On the whole, human beings want to be good,
but not too good, and not quite all the time..."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Amos didn't even bother to look up from
his book when he next spoke, greeting the boy
that had wandered into his little alcove.
"And what brings you to this elusive
room little pup?"
When the Omega spoke,
his voice was like honey being poured into milk,
deep enough to be powerful, but soft and soothing
none the less.

Only after his chapter was finished did Amos
glance up, earthy brown eyes surveying the new
intruder to his peace. A thoughtful hum filled the
man's throat and he shut his book with a soft thump.

"Hm. Shy posture, not used to being aggressive to
other wolves. Probably a mid power level. Passive
attitude. Not a fighter or leader. Hunter maybe?"

A sniff, and Amos tilted his head curiously, "No.
you don't smell like earth. Healer then. To quiet
to be an apprentice. So then you're the lead healer.
Hayden Rhee."
After his observation and conclusion
was finished, Amos opened his book again, going
back to reading.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Cybi watched as Hayden left, and then as
the new, rather flustered wolf dashed off to his room.
Cache he had called himself. Hm. She'd have to have a
talk with him about control later. For now, she pointed
down the hall, where Violet's room was, and then headed
back down the stairs herself. Hopefully there would
be less chaos in the living room.

The young blonde was not dissapointed, as she stumbled
upon a lone Mika curled up on the couch. With a small,
almost charming smile, the Beta leaned over the back,
hovering just over the new omega's shoulder. "Mind if
I join you sweet cheeks?"
The playful question wasn't
so much a request, as it was a warning.

Without really waiting for the purple haired girl to reply,
Cybil vaulted herself over the back, bouncing lightly
onto the cushion next to Mika. With a twinkle in her
icy eyes, she glanced over, smirking playfully, "So I
heard Benji is coming to fill the alpha spot instead.
I'm glad you chose as you did. I know headmaster hates
it but...in the end having two alpha powers makes the
pack stronger."

Another glance, and the pretty blonde frowned slightly,
the expression marring her normally charming features.
"Sorry. I know you probably don't wanna talk about head
master right now. I heard you guys arguing earlier is all."

Mika was just reigning in her emotions, and power when she heard someone coming down the stairs. It made her work a bit more at her control, but she didn't expect a voice to sound so cheekily at her ear. Mika looked over surprised at Cybil only managing to speak after the girl vaulted over to get comfy beside her. She bite her lip a little as the girl spoke before finally saying anything. "Yea sorry you had to see that. We have been arguing over it for a couple days now. That man is sure stubborn, but it's fear of what Benji's power can become. The other Alphas of packs don't want to put a power bigger then their own in paws that leave prints half their size." Mika said filling her in to some of the details. Cybil was the beta, and it wasn't like Mika could hide it from her. She had witnessed the fight after all. Mika realizing she was staring at the other girl angled her body towards her, but dropped her gaze to her hands clasped in her lap. "Besides, you nailed it. I want this pack strong..otherwise we could instead of replacing my families pack be following in its steps." She said the last bit in a whisper her eyes shifting to the fire in the hearth watching it dance. A minute or two passed by before Mika suddenly flashed the beta a smirk. "So why you down here? Tired of the group already?" She teased then winked.

As if on cue the door opened with tentatively steps sounding on the wooden floor. Mika's gaze was pulled from Cybil as she twisted her body around to perch on her knees. She was now facing the door staring at the girl from over the back of the couch. The girls hello ringed through the house making Mika raise a brow a small smile of amusement on her lips. "Hello back, better late then never." She raised a hand for a small wave as she let her gaze travel over the girl, and her senses take her in. Mika was sure the girl was doing the same so before she could think she was a higher rank due to her dominance level she told the girl. "Names Mika, omega of the pack. This next to me is Cybil, beta. Rooms are upstairs with names on the doors going by ranks from the furthest corner to the stairs. Go ahead, and settle in if you like. Dinner by the smell of it will be shortly." Mika angled her body towards Cybil again but stayed perched so she could see both girls. "Wanna add anything?" She asked tilting her head slightly.

Ferrell/ Female/ Loner (5)/ Location: South of the reserve building/ Tags: Kieran

Ferrell was NOT a happy camper. Not one bit. There was way too much ruckus going on around her broad expanse of territory. Not to mention a ton of new scents were wafting her way. And not just any scents…werewolf to be exact. Ugh, just what she needed.

She had tried the whole “pack” thing before it just wasn’t the right fit. It was more on her part than others. Wherever she went, danger seemed to follow. Come on! Having a three legged wolf on your hands was just screaming trouble. Plus, she ran into her past from time to time. And a pack meant more fodder to use against her, in one way or another.

The 5’ 10” Caucasian female was perched on a large hill facing the front of the werewolf “reserve”. She watched the comings and goings of the new forming pack through her binoculars. What she saw was a bunch of young werewolves that didn’t know the first thing of being in a pack or what it meant to fight for your utter survival. Having been on the run for most of her life, Ferrell knew all, too well the scent of death and pain.

Shaking her brown haired head to clear her unwanted thoughts, Ferrell heaved a heavy sigh, then stood up from her crouch. Having seen enough for one day, she began her trek back to where she called “home” for the time being. For how long, she would never be certain, but a home it was.

She had taken no more than ten steps when a strong male scent hit her, along with…PB & J? Ferrell quirked a brow wondering what a loner werewolf was doing with a PB & J sandwich. The newcomer wasn’t on her turf so he wasn’t an immediate threat, but curiosity got the better of her and she thought she should go investigate. Ferrell liked to keep to herself but she wasn’t against knowing who she might run into in the near future. It was better safe than sorry.

As Ferrell trekked closer to the male loner, she kept her hand in close reach of her knife strapped to her left leg. Having only one arm could often be a challenge but when it came to fighting in human form she preferred her knives to any other weapon. They were easy to grab, aim, and throw. Short and simple.

Finally the loner male came into view. He was sitting on a rock over a stream with his luggage next to him, while shoving the sandwich into his pie hole. For some reason the sight before her made her laugh out loud. She assumed the werewolf had been aware of her presence so she wasn’t against moving closer until she was at the bank of the stream across from him. Ferrell wanted to get a feel for who she was dealing with, so she thought she’d have a little fun and see where it got her.

“What a sight to behold. Did your mommy make you that sandwich? Looks delicious.” Ferrell baited the male with experience and technique backing her words.

“Say, your scent is strange. It’s as if you’re half of a whole. Hmm, I wonder what they could mean. Care to elaborate?”

Ferrell casually picked up her knife and started tossing it in the air, letting her body language display that she was merely bored. Her brown and blue eyes focused on the flipping of her blade, though she was still watching his movements through her side vision.
