Charlotte quickly broke into a trot. She thought about the next move. Canter. She had watched everyone cantering at her old riding school and knew it in theory but not in practise.

Charlotte tapped Benson's sides with her heels again and leaned forward slightly in the saddle. Benson understood and immediately broke into a canter.

"Perfect!" She said grinning. "Now try some of the jumps over there while I call Zeus and then we can go on the trail." Whith that she whistled loudly towards the stallion's paddock which was just withing eye sight. Zeus pricked him ears up. He broke out into a gallop, jumped the fence and cantered to Sally.

Charlotte nodded then clicked her heels against Benson's sides again.
"C'mon boy!" she said.
The young girl and her horse lined up for the jump then Benson galloped towards it. Charlotte almost held her breath with anxiety but exhaled after the old bay stallion cleared the jump with ease.
"Good boy!" she patted his neck.
