He stuck his head out of the den's entrance and opened his mouth to ask what they were doing. He closed it when he realized that they weren't going anywhere and that he could get information about Rose's shriek. He simply watched. His ears lowered in fear when he heard Rose's words.

Envy flared in his gaze. Why was Blake being so protective and acting like he had known her longer than him? He huffed, his breath showing up in front of him in clouds. He could barely keep himself from running up and impaling the snow leopard with his antlers. Then, as he ran after Rose, he almost did so. "Rose!" he shrieked. "Come back!"
