I totally agree with this. I have many hoards that are older and knewer. I have a few older uncommon hoards that are from 2011 and I would be thrilled if there's one or two but either way I'd be happy ^.^
I tried to slow down on collecting my hoard pets so my SS can have fun and not waste their time when I finish a hoard or something becuase I'm sure they've worked really hard to get pets from my hoards. Though I have started 3 more advent hoards.. I really want to gather them but I'm not sure if they are and if I wait too long then it might be harder to get them. *shrugs*

I disagree. I haven't seen anything, yet, that would lead me to guess anybody's partner. I have been browsing hoard posts since sign-ups started: everybody appears to have old hoard pets, many people have list hoards, etc. And if you're an avid hoarder and have to work with your monthly/event fodder, because you're unable to buy any C$, Gems, GP, etc. you're obviously facing a challenge. So, no, in my opinion, it is not possible to find out your SS from the posts so far.

That being said, I'm a bit sad about the feeling of competition that has arisen. This is not a giftwar, and it isn't nice to throw figures into the air and brag about your progress. Imagine you agreeing to a gift exchange with your real life friends, then finding yourself listening to them bragging about spending hundreds of dollars on their gifts while you're only able to spend twenty dollars, and the embarrassment you would feel ... I haven't been able to work anything out either xD

Everyone seems to have added them to wish lists, or has low fodder because of taking
part in so many christmas events and such things so unless you look through everybody's
hoarders handbook posts to work out who's hoards are whose I don't think it's a problem.

But then my whole outlook is if you want to really look in to what people are saying,
and analyse what they've said, look at their wish list or groups then you're only going
to ruin your own surprise. With the competition aspect, again i'm not taking in what
other people have got so far and i'm just looking forward to the days where everyone
exchanges what they've collected, whether that's 1 pet or 100 pets, you know each
player is going to be really happy that someone has helped with their hoards c:

You could always not add them to your hoarders handbook post? Unless your SS is looking through
all of your groups to find out every pet you own, they might only be looking at the hoarders
handbook post. In which case, anything you wanted to collect yourself you can just keep off of
that post, then you have less of a worry of them getting a large number of them c:

Yeah that is true. I havnt made them an official hoard yet; the pets are still in my Advent Event group but I have the hoard name along with the pet in my trading rules and this thread. But either way I have it posted that I'm only looking for 20, so even if they get a few it would help.

Just a friendly reminder that chatter about the SS does not belong on this thread, try to keep it to a minimum. It's clearly said in the SS rules, this is a hoard discussion thread and the ss isn't necessarily related to hoards so it doesn't belong here.

The pet that made me realize my love for the UR Tiger was actually love of this particular lineart. Whom up until recently was the only pet on the site to share this dogs lineart.

Now there are a bunch of them. But the original is still my favorite. ^_^
