StoneFur chuckled and nodded "Okay, well I think they went on a patrol, perhaps I could take you two?" he said with a smile and a soft purr, he loved teaching young apprentices, it gave him a thrill of happiness.

Dapplepaw jumped up. "yes!!" he screamed. "thank you! Are you coming, Dawnpaw?" he asked.

Dawnpaw laid her ears back. Why did he have to be that loud? She nodded in answer to his question. She was fine going with them.

He chuckled and started to pad out of the den, watching the apprentices play around as they follow. Soon they arrived at the sandy ground where they can train "Okay! Stand side by side!" he said, sounding more serious and like a true mentor.

Dawnpaw stood next to her brother, looking at Stonefur.

StoneFur smiled at the two and then his face went serious again "Okay you two! Today we will learn about balance and agility in attack and defense, now, show me your stance to prepare for a low blow." he commanded

Dapplepaw went to prepare, but then stopped. "to prepare to do a low blow or to prepare to avoid a low blow?"
Dawnpaw didn't move and waited for Stonefur 's answer. Her brother wasn't that stupid after all.

StoneFur looked at DapplePaw for a moment then answered the toms question "Your stance to avoid or protect yourself from a low blow." Soon he started to pace infront of them and watched the two apprentices

The two apprentices nodded, then as one they spread their paws slightly, putting their weight on the toes to be able to move around easily. They moved in perfect unison, something which would be perfect and deadly in a battle. They concentrated on Stonefur, knowing he would try something soon.

The tom smirked and observed the two as they made their stances "Good." he praised to them and then he advanced, swiping at DapplePaws hind leg

Dapplepaw felt the movement and lifted his leg just slightly to let the swipe pass under him. He knew Stonefur would be unbalanced for just a second, just really shortly. Instantly Dawnpaw jumped forward and swiped at Stonefur's other leg, the one that was supporting him. Half a second later Dapplepaw pushed at Stonefur's leg, the one the tom had used to try and make him fall. With that maneuver the sister and brother tried to make Stonefur fall...
