I've done that, too... why does the 'Preview' button have to be so close to the 'Submit' button? Ahaha

So, a question for all of you: What are the 9 most cliche not-a-diary tropes in your opinion?

I would say: (I don't think they are all bad, just saying)
1. Highschool setting
2. Mean girl who is super evil
3. Dialogue is written like a chatroom (C'mon, we all do it : P)
4. Completely new look with new fur and new wings because reasons!
5. The main character later finds out (Or on like the second page) that they have powers and it's their destiny to save the world. (Well, this can be in any type of story)
6. The main character is always an "outcast".
7. "Every girl likes pink so I'm gonna be unique and write in blue" Now that I think about it, it's actually the other way around XD
8. Main character and everyone else is a dog
9. They take photos of everyone to stick in the book, that's not creepy at all : D

If your diary follows any of these tropes, please don't be offended D: And I'm not asking you to go change it, I'm just stating the things I see alot in these stories.

(I didn't count calling the diary something else because, well that's like saying saying ponies are too cliche for MLP OCS : P)

Admit it, you've probably fallen into one of these tropes when writing : P I think I did alot of this in the Apple. these tropes are one of the reason I wanted to write the castelia cone, to try and defy most of them

except for the chatroom dialogue, I still do that

I feel as if I should postpone my diary-
I haven't started it, and I don't think I can since its long passed September, coming into Christmas time (well there are already adverts so)
And, plus, seeing the cliche thing.. I need to pick up my game and change..
Everything?
Most of mine are cliche so eh.
Plus I can draw them freely AND USE MY IDEA AT LAST NO HIGHSCHOOLS I could've done that before but laziness? eh. also the chatroom thing nEED A CHANGING MATE IT DOES

Should I start my diary now and write an entry each day so it catches up to Christmas,
Should I start my diary next year in the summer and make everything to do with school early,
OR Should I start now and start in the area I want to be, and have flashbacks of the past experiences (in my perspective, this maaay be a bad idea)

Hm... the problem with promising to write every single day is that it might cause you stress if you have no ideas, or you just can't write everyday.

so... I'm contemplating making a not-a-diary that strays from the norm in a couple ways:
- not a high school setting
- might actually draw/design the characters myself

I'm mostly all for it, I'm just a tad hesitant to draw/design the characters myself rip--

you know, i kinda wanna stray from these tropes by making yet another one
and then call it the samsung and have it be a parody of yours
