People think it is extremely valuable, and ask insane amounts for it, and the more
people pay high prices for it, the more the entire 'it is valuable like zomg' words get
spread out.

This can be true. Personally I don't value it as high as them, because I've seen a lot of these dogs...
I wanted to have one but when I saw what people are paying and that users who have it UFT/UFA want really good pets for it I changed my mind.

One person overpaid, others noticed it and started to spread the false value.

I agree. I've been hawking for one ever since I traded my UR and an '08 advent away for a zebra--example of an overpay right there--and I just sort of went through the members list, page by page, and tried to find active members that had one. I'm on page 910, and by only clicking on the names that had over 100 posts, I found at least ten, and those were only the ones that were in unlocked groups. That's actually more than the people that had '09 URs "available" (I put "available" in quotes because not everyone locks groups that aren't for trade). I found more growing white Julys. >_>

So while I don't know exactly how many URs actually exist, by how many "available" pets there are, I can kinda guess the '10 URs outnumber the '09. If that's true, there's no way the '10 UR can be worth such an unbelievable amount. Yet people will pay for it like it's a sunjewel just to convince their stingy owners to let go. : / I'm not sure what to make of this, but I really don't like it, that's for sure...

thats pretty much it, in my opinion, people dont like trading them so people have to overpay to convince them to let go...

Hey, this might be a really dumb question, but I haven't seen many new zebras (which might just be because they're really rare) but I was wondering if they were still being released now that Equimagine has left. If they're not being released any more, what'll that do to the rarity? I apologize if this has already been answered, but I didn't see it anywhere.

It seems like the problem with the UR Tiger dog is similar to the issue of true dates. Yes, you can say that logically, their worth should be one thing, but value is determined by how much people will pay for something. If people will pay extra for a true date, it IS worth more, even if everyone can agree that it's exactly the same as a re-release. If people will pay a Dogtag for the new UR that obviously shouldn't be considered any more rare than the 09 UR dog, than it IS worth more. Or at least it is until everyone decides not to pay any more for it, which doesn't seem to be happening.

Site staff has announced that Zebra's are still being released at the same
rate as before.

I just wanted to add a little insight onto the UR Tiger Dog as well since I would also love to know it's true rarity after enough people have discussed it. What I paid for my UR tiger was a non-swirl moon and a 08 halloween bat dog, so needless to say, I feel like I way overpaid for mine. Then again, it was in an auction and I had to beat out the best offer of a non-swirl moon, and I was obsessed to have a complete collection since I had just accomplished one right before Dec. 18th came around. Anyways, I would say that everyone is right on, that the demand surge for this pet still hasn't gone down, but I agree with Diabolic that it belongs lower than the blue and purple toxics (maybe right under them?). I guess this is just my opinion, but I figured every little bit of insight helps :]

It will never be rarer than the July PPS, as rarities are set; that is not to say that it will not ever be in more demand, though. C:

It's there :3 The differences between pets listed above eachother is very small
in some cases. In the case of the two common URs, the common balloon dogs and
the skelly PPS, the difference is very small. The differences tend to come from peoples
preferences and which pet they like better.
