Each whipperjack has a set of traits that are present on every whipperjack; defining traits. Each whipperjack has a long set of ears that face backwards and extend into an enlarged tip of some kind- wether frayed, fluffy, tufted, or scaled. Their tails also act this way: they are long and tufted at the ends. On the neck of a whipperjack is their crest, or a very thick area of fur that wraps around their shoulders. It may stick out, or simply lay on their body. It is always thicker than the rest of their fur, though, and appears as another layer of fur on top of their coat. Each whipperjack has a set of horns, unique looking to each whipperjack, sharp dragon-like claws, sharp teeth, and a long forked tongue.

Some whipperjacks may have elemental powers or glowing. They can only have this with explicit permission, or if they have the listed trait.
Wings and haloes are reserved only for very rare whipperjacks.
