One very much educated and in sync with the world around
him, Pythias is very much your 'Mr nice guy'. Assisting others
is something he genuinely enjoys, he regards it as a chance
to take up a good deed and brighten up someone's day, rather
than just a throw-away task. He is good tempered and well
hearted, natural with people. Brighter than most.
His bravery is something he takes great pride in, however,
even despite his caring and maternal nature, he is rather
reckless and daring in his actions, usually throwing himself
head-first into danger and not quite thinking things through
first. Courage is something he has always strived for,
so he puts it first over his own well-being.

A high spirited boy hailing from a
small family of farmhands, Pythias
is regarded as the fresh air from an
otherwise dull and muted village.
From a young age, he was very
invested in adventure, and his
studies. He has an eye for seeing
much more to things as compared
to one's first judgment.
Yet, his thoughts and various theories
split him off from home, due to his
parents deeming his interests much
too silly for a boy that was fated to
grow up to be a farmer, and serve
under their business.
And so, to pick his own path, he left
as soon as he could, at the age of only
sixteen. Of course, he felt woeful, and
frightened to leave the place that he
knew so very well. Though he knew he
was young, he had to begin taking
responsibility and matters into his own
hands, even if he was still afraid to
leave the nest and take flight upon
wings that have never beat
before.

Birds became his biggest inspiration and
muse to push on in life, so he took up
studying the theory of flight, and recording
all kinds and sorts of feathered creatures,
hoping that maybe he may be the first
to come across and discover an entire
new type. In his gratitude and respect,
he wears the dropped feathers of birds to
convey how symbolic they are to him;
thinking of it as parting gifts from injured
birds he has healed up and rehabilitated
over the years.
It's hard realizing that perhaps you cannot
help everyone as you would like- Pythias
knows he likes to lend a hand to people,
going great lengths to complete his fellow
villagers' "side quests", as he calls it. It
gets to him quite a bit, be it a bird that simply
wont make it, or a relationship gone sour.
The hero figure appeals to him, so he does
try his very best to find the good in a tough
hardship.
Pythias spends his time village to village,
land to land, picking up any work or small
tasks he can seek on the way, to earn a
small penny to get around, share his studies,
and to aid people and birds in general.

Growing up wasn't ever bad for Pythias,
even if the work he had in store for
him never exactly appealed for him,
he did love caring for the animals,
especially his chickens- which
he was very attached to. He'd give
them all individual names, spending
enough time with them to tell them
apart from each-other with
little to no fail. When the time came
to butcher them to market, it was then
he realized that perhaps the farm life
wasn't meant for him. He cared about
his birds much too much to bring himself
to do that.
Fowl had always fascinated Pythias- how
they could take wing and to the sky when
they so pleased, soaring endlessly, diving
from great heights. He'd often lay at night
and comprehend, imagine, what sights they
had seen from up there, how far they have
traveled, wonder if maybe perhaps his own
species could do the same, one day. Still
young, he is fluid and isn't set on commitment
yet, so he goes when and where he pleases.

➢ Doesn't like admitting all the stuff he carries is really heavy for him.
➢ Uses archery skills for ordinary purposes, such as shooting apples
down from trees that would be too high to reach otherwise.
➢ Really bad at whistling. He's still yet to make communication
with his bird friends.
➢ Wears cape not only because it looks nice, but so he doesn't look
so imposing with all of his loot, and bow and arrows, on show.
➢ Enjoys collecting leaves and pressing them, to pretty up his notebook.
But also to keep a little bit of his favourite season, Autumn, with him always.
➢ Takes the time to crave small markings into his arrows, with his claws.
➢ Several scars from silly things- such as passing by thorns and bird talons.
➢Diana gave him the name 'birdboy'.

Brimlad
His closest friend and the one he feels he can trust
the most, Pythias found the forest dweller on one
of his travels. Brimlad took curiosity into his work,
so in exchange for Pythias's stories of the outside
world, Brimlad provided berries and edible flowers.
Pythias is usually the one trying to drag Brimlad around
trying to find more weird stuff to collect.
Theodosia
The two knew each other from quite a while back,
from Theodosia's previous life as a thief. Despite
the difference in their personalities, they get along
rather well. She was the one in fact who created
Pythias's bow, and later helped him making the
arrows, as a gift. He always admired the Blacksmith's
eye for detail and fine work. Theodosia admits it was
a challenge to make, but a challenge she very much
enjoyed and took pride in. If she happens to run low
on any raw material, Pythias takes it upon himself
as her friend to go out to fetch for more, to her
protests.
Diana
These two often travel together, due to their strikingly
similar interests and passion to study and discover. To
Diana, astrology grips her; the endless possibilities of
what's out 'there' keep her always thinking, something
Pythias never considered to learn about, until the many
nights gazing upon stars in the sky and exchanging tales.
Diana was a Kalon of quite high respect- he found her
through a lecture. Her many theories keep him entertained,
and even motivate him to carry on with his own work. "You
are Sagittarius," she told him one star-full night,
not because of where his birth-date actually landed,
but through his personality and his iconic bow.
Nikolai
A shy and timid kit, Nikolai met Pythias through
the village he most frequently stays at. Due to the
time Pythias spends there, the two learned quite
a lot about each other, Pythias telling all kinds of
stories and folklore back to Nikolai through each
visit back. What Nikolai enjoys best, though, is when
Pythias releases birds back into the wild, a sight that
warms him, and is also fascinating to watch.
