His worried expression turned into a half smile. His eyes filled with wonder. He shifted his gaze to the kits. He nudged one closer to its mother.

Sunheart smiled at Brackentail, then she looked down at the kits, trying to make sure none of them were hungry.

He nuzzled her with a warm feeling in his heart. A kit had snuggled into his pelt. he lay next to Sunheart.

She purred and began to fall asleep. Rainpaw exited the den quietly, trying not to disturb them.

Blossomkit bounded into the nursery, where her father, Talonstar, was congratulating Sunheart. "What are their names?" He asked.

Sapwhisker nods his head to Rainpaw, and ducks inside of the den. "Sorry I'm late, are you alright? Did everything go well?" He asks the queen, anxious. It feels like he failed, because he couldn't get there in time. He stops when he sees that she's falling asleep. The medicine cat checks over the kits. They seem to be fine and healthy, and he lets out a faint purr. He places the herbs next to Brambletail, and instructs him to make sure that Sunheart eats them to help her milk run.
