Okay! Thank you.
Here's my entry! Though it was written just now and probably has some mistakes here and there...
~~~~~~
_____Emma pulled her older sister along. "Come on! We won't get there in time if you keep this up!"
_____"Why do we have to go to the top of the hill? You can see the moon from here!" Kirsten argued, "Why do I have to carry the telescope anyway‽"
_____"Because, you're taller!" Emma snapped back, still trying to tug Kirsten up the hill.
_____"I'm not going up there, it's cold out!" She dropped the telescope and ripped her hand away from Emma's grasp. "Besides, Mom told us not to go up there when it's dark. I'm going back to the house." Kirsten grumbled, spinning around and stomping back towards the cabin they called home. She didn't understand. Emma did, though.
_____Emma knew that you might be able to see the moon from the house, but you could only see it from the top of the hill. So, she huffed and picked up her precious telescope, continuing up the hill. She followed the dirt path that she had created over the longest time of eagerly running up and down the hill, chasing the watery, clear light of her adored friend who no one else could understand.
_____Eventually, she reached the top and set up the telescope. She was glad that her sister hadn't come with her tonight. Kirsten always laughed at her anyway...
_____"Hello, Luna!" Emma said cheerfully, standing at the very edge of the hill before it gave way to a mirror-like ocean. The wind howled as it hit the cliff face. It blew Emma's silvery blonde hair out of her face, making it swirl behind her. It seemed that she would get no response.
_____But then, with the help of the wind, a pale, shimmering figure started to form out of powder in front of her, just a few feet off of the ledge. It took the form of a slightly older girl, a silhouette with no face.
_____"Hello, my dear Emmy." It said warmly, "How have you been, child?" Their conversation continued as the moon rose higher and higher. Emma told Luna of how she did at school, how she was made fun of my the other children, how her sister had become more irritable over the seasons, how her mother had become sadder and sadder over the few weeks. At the end she was in tears.
_____Luna knelt down and reached out to cradle the child's head in its hand. "Do not fret, my dear Emmy." It said, a voice like silk, "I know where you can live happily."
_____"W-Where's that?" Emma sniffed, wiping away tears, only to have them soon replaced.
_____"All you have to do is walk over to me and take my hand. I can take you to a place among the stars." Luna murmured, straightening up and gesturing broadly to the sky around them. "There you will never be alone, and you can glow just like you were meant to, Emmy. You can live with me and the others in the sparkling heavens." Luna then held out its hand to her. "You will be safe there, I will not let a misfortune fall upon you."
_____"Trust me."
_____Emma gulped, shakily rising to her feet. She slowly took a step forward, off the ledge. She did not fall. Emma took Luna's hand, and with that, a cloud covered the moon, and they both vanished.
_____And that is the tale of the Girl Among the Stars.
