Hey everyone! Mama Hooves here, with another PSA for everyone. I swear, I'm just going to come out with some monthly thing with the new year coming up. Anyway! We have some important topics to bring up within the community, so let's get our adult hats on here.
Respect
We all know what it is, we should all have it when dealing with one another. If you don't, you're welcome to see yourself out now. The staff, this includes moderators, artists and our wonderful Admin Warg, of Westrossa Mustangs has been having a very frustrating time when it comes to this topic. So let me lay it out for you all, here and now, so no miscommunication can come up later on.
If you are not going to be respectful, see your way out now. Seriously. No joke from me. There is a fine line that many have been toeing and the team is simply done. I, for one, don't care if you don't like me. This does not, however, mean that I will treat anyone without the due respect you deserve as a human being, as a person. The team here is fair, we do all we can within our power to keep the species going for you all.
School is in swing, full tilt swing; the species isn't as active right now because of this. That does not give anyone the right to put down others because they are busy or not responding to your messages, or if they give you a short response. This does not mean we want to see everyone clamoring about and saying that this team member is being rude; we simply have very little time to jump on. If it takes a little bit of time for you to get a response, oh well; I do want everyone to know that the entire team discusses things within the community as a whole, as a team and we do not go behind each others backs with decisions.
All that being said, any issues you are having, whether it be small or large, are welcome to my inbox or any other member of the moderation team. We want to help you if you are having trouble, we were asked to be apart of the team for that very reason. So please, do not handle things on your own if that means you are going to get in trouble. Bring it to us first if it involves anything related to the Westrossa Community. Be respectful, don't argue with one another or the team, please. We're all adults, we need to act like adults.
Breedings, Slots and Trades
I am going to clear up a few different things with breedings and slots for everyone. Please be aware of these!
You must keep track of your own permissions.
If you used a permission in one breeding you do not reserve any rights to another slot from either dam or sire (or both) for a second breeding because you are not satisfied. The breeding is what it is. If you don't like it you can gift it someone, you can tell the artist they can place it up for public adoption, you can keep it and trade it to an interested party, or you can simply just keep it.
This does not mean you can be rude to the artist, that you can try to wiggle your way into a better deal, or that you can request a different foal. Breedings are rolled fairly, they are not just chosen by whatever the artist likes better for the outcome. a RNG is used for every potential addition to the foal, from the gender to the coat all the way down to the markings. This is your only warning from me; if the artists are being harrassed by any member of the community because they did not make the foal the way you wanted it, you will receive a warning from me. No ifs ands or buts, guys. The artists are working their hardest to get you guys mustangs.
All breedings are random. They are not customs, they are not semi-customs; you do not get a say in the outcome other than what the specific artist asks you to fill out in their application form. Breedings are not something the artists have to do here for you all. If you start guilt tripping anyone, like we've discussed a ways back, be aware you will be spoken to about it. It goes back to the above topic; it's simply disrespectful.
Onto slots and trades! If a slot on a mustang's stable page says closed, guess what? It's closed! Do not send in inquiries about them unless the owner gives the go ahead elsewhere. Again, this goes back to the respect we should have for everyone within the community.
If a horse you have slots from was traded away, the new owner has the right to rescind any and all slots of the mustang that have not been used. This means that, if you had a slot from Mustang A but the original owner traded or gifted it to Player B, Player B has the right to close all slots for this mustang that have not been used. If Player B decides to close all slots, you do not have permission to use Mustang A in any breedings unless Player B, the new owner, gives you a new permission quote! It's as simple as that. The current owner of the mustang must be the one you have the permission quote from.
If you traded a horse away, the horse is no longer yours. If you wanted to keep the horse, you should not have traded it in the first place. You are not allowed to go back to the new owner and demand the horse back; you do not have the right to go back to the new owner and complain to them about how you made a mistake about trading the horse; you are not allowed to guilt trip the new owner into giving the horse back; you do not have the right to harass the new owner of the horse you traded because you are upset with the decision you made/ The horse is no longer yours, you have no say in anything that happens to said horse once the trade is done with. You will be dealt with accordingly if this is found to be happening.
When a horse has been traded, a message needs to be sent to the archivist, Chemical, so the Archives can be updated as well. Failure to do this causes confusion with slot permissions. We try to keep everything updated but without your assistance in this it can be quite confusing and frustrating for all involved, as well as hamper any possible breeding applications until the team is able to prove the horse in question was traded.
