Jamie nodded, and silence fell as they watched the other fencers continue sparring and Jamie waited for another person to finish and offer to spar with her.
Keep talking to her, Paine said, all of a sudden.
Why? Jamie asked.
Just...do it.
Jamie was intrigued, but he knew that he could trust Paine, no matter how sceptical he was sometimes. "So...what sports do you like to watch?" Jamie asked, scraping around for some means of making conversation.

((There's been some updates in the first post; you may wish to read them, they're quite interesting and you may want to RP them. Actually, you will want to RP them. XD ))

If he had some spare time after a training session or if it wasn't on for some reason or another, sometimes he'd bring his swimming kit and do some lengths. He wasn't overly fit, but he was getting there.

Paine was silent for a moment. It's...nothing. Paine finally said. She had actually thought she'd sensed something about that girl, something similar to the feeling she'd been getting from Jamie's fencing partner recently...but she had dismissed it. It had only been a momentary thing.
