They're alien lemurs that I've actually had for a long while but their origins/lore came from a dream. I just?? don't know/?? what to name them???? I've thought of like kefki/kifki, Keda, Relki, Ruket, Gelti, Saviken, idk,,, it has to sound foreign yet cute at the same time which is what's making me angry
They live in an alien world called Naviru (which could change but I like Naviru). Their world revolves mainly around 2 societies: The spiritual + animalistic Tribals, and the advanced human-like Techs. Both societies have their own lore and only occasionally interact. There are also "Rogue" civilizations, which are combinations of the 2.
Techs: Walk on 2 legs and live like humans; they have jobs, read books, and do stuff. They live most similarly to Eastern Earth cultures & live in a democracy. They generally prioritize science & logic and make use of advanced technology.
Tribals: Lore-y, spiritual hippies who live in small social groups, fight with spears, and sleep in nests made of leaves. They live harmoniously with nature, and, for the most part, live only in the Valleys of Dairu (Peace)--a large mountain range of many intertwining valleys. They have their own unique gods that they worship; they believe that their main god, the Firebreather, will vanquish the evil and keep the good safe so long as they never leave the Valleys of Dairu.
Interactions between the 2 cultures can be good or bad depending on those involved. Rogues are those of neither or combined cultures; 'Rogue' civilizations are to let people be more customizable while still taking part in the lore. Independent AUs will also be allowed
However, I don't intend on Rogues being too significant--they don't even exist in my personal canon universe--their purpose is just to provide for those that wish to partake in the Lore universe without being particularly restricted by the lore of either society
Other things that'll affect the species as a whole:
- The world is littered with the ruins of a lost ancient civilization. Techs don't know what happened to them and are left to theorize; Tribals believe that it is the ruins of a corrupt, ancient empire destroyed by the Firebreather.
- Homophobia, transphobia, and sexism does not exist in the species, in any variation and under any circumstance, due to the complete lack of gender binary. Males and females are almost identical, making demisexuality/bisexuality more common; any notion that same-gender relationships is in any way wrong simply does not exist in this world.
- DFABs and DMABs Make the Baby like on Earth, but Techs can use superior technology to make Magical Gay Babies (their genes aren't like humans so it works either way). Tribals can do this too. I don't know how. They're alien monkeys.
- i??? can make infinite 'customs' or w/e but they exist outside of the community demographic. Basically un-archived, unofficial ocs I can do whatever I want with but for Personal Use Only, and I wouldn't use them to 'cheat' or anything--I wouldn't even interact with the community with them--I just need the freedom to customize my own OCs free of regulation. (Any "official" lemurs that I want to make & interact with would be created like normal and abide by the normal rules).
- People are allowed to make "AUs" if they want that don't have anything to do with the default lore but they must respect others in roleplay/etc (like follow the lore when you join a lore roleplay/vice versa), as well as follow a few 'default' rules (such as the perpetual lack of gender binary).
- Mutations will be much looser than Viscets and more vague rather than super specific labels. Like rather than specific "horn edits"/etc, I think the mutations will go relatively as follows; Common w/ the default lines & any manner of small, curled horns; Uncommon with small amounts of line edits, but still realistic; Rare with a lot of line edits that resemble the species less, but still realistic (e.g. a lion's mane); and Legendary with unrealistic edits, such as multiple eyes or limbs.
- Their world is populated by Earth-like equivalents; like Earth, but Alien versions, that I just call by Earthen names to be more simple. Animals that live their include Allosauruses (Domen), sable antelope, jaguars, wolves, deer, alligators, birds, fish, and amphibians. (Note these aren't exactly like they are on Earth I just call em that)
