The loner retreated to her den to consume her catch. Gossamer didn't believe in straying from her home for very long, too dangerous and unnecessary. Aside from leaving to eat or drink the she-cat tended to spend her days draped over her rotting log, staring into the woods. It was a bit too close to the clan's border for her liking, but, well she couldn't move now. Gossamer sprung to her feet, her muscles tensed for action and fur on end, quickly though, she regained her posture and flattened her fur. There were two of them and no chance for her to run. "What are you doing here?" The she-cat had regained her neutral tone and eyed the pair with a look of common disdain, as if they weren't worth her time.

The tom hurriedly caught up with the others, only to fall behind again due to an interesting butterfly. It was all green and blue, shimmering in the sun. He stared after it for a few moments, transfixed before bounding after the group again. It was going to be a long patrol.
