Used to used to play Animal Jam. It is not as wonderful as I had dreamed of as a child.

I played this game since the BETA- swapped accounts about a year before my initial banning. As a little kid, I genuinely liked it, but things began to change quickly after 2011.
I could care less about the economy. You know, whatever. Spiked Collars are extremely common and pretty much worthless, but so is the dollar- it's what we determine the object to be worth that gives it it's value. The biggest problem that emerged, however, was the popular community that sparked roots in early 2012. Animal Jam 'YouTubers' ruined the modern game.

Older players may remember the numerous 'hackings' that occurred on the Animal Jam admin website? No, they weren't hacked- players Aparri and either Varallix or Zarfy (don't remember, it was ages ago) guessed a couple passwords and guessed right. Pretty sure it was admin/admin or sfsadmin/sfsadmin. In any case, they got some unreleased items and became extremely popular, falling among the ranks of a few "YouTubers". People forgot soon after. This, however, is the birth of an extremely corrupted system that the Animal Jam staff correlated.

Timeskip- 2016. At this point, a few Animal Jam YouTubers have over 100,000 subscribers. This is a HUGE deal for Animal Jam's marketing team. Aparri can make as many terrible clickbait videos as he'd like, because they get views- and views = publicity = free advertising for Animal Jam. Not only this, but Aparri's upload schedule is EXTREMELY favorable to YT's current alg and pretty much creates a perfect breeding ground for both AdSense revenue and free adverting for WildWorks. They decide to test the waters by creating a new popup when you create an account-

Big success. Animal Jam cashes in. They award 'videographer' plaques to the highest earners (Snowyclaw, WisteriaMoon, Aparri, Bepper, etc) and invite them all to VidCon for that extra publicity.

So, you may think. What's the big deal?
Quite a lot.
These players are still normal players- on the same status level that the rest of us are. Animal Jam begins to turn a blind eye towards these players because of their status.
Nobody cares that these YouTubers completely fabricated the 'Mighty Squad' happening. It was fake, but it made publicity.
Aparri socialengineered and scammed tons of little kids, but he earns money.
Videos of LilacPetal being horrible to small children litter the internet.
Snowyclaw has broken the Animal Jam rules tons of times behind Animal Jam's back.
I could go on.

The problem emerges now that normal players are denied the rights that the more popular players receive. Animal Jam files DMCA's about the MidWest JamCon being planned, sends the web host emails in the dead of night, getting their hard work removed, and doesn't send a single email to the organizers. Players apologizing profusely are left in the dust by the HQ, even though the more popular players were listened to. There are tons of situations that I don't even know of but would have seriously ruined some player's state of mind.

What did I do? I made a program that 'generated' gems and prepared to give it out for free to the world. No payment. Anybody could enjoy it. No scam, no hack, just a file you can download and run by yourself, for everyone who enjoys the game. Instead of asking me to stop, they monitored my IPs, phoned my mother and repeated the same crap that they told me in automated emails (after I asked!). They literally stalked me across the internet for months. I was seriously so scared and exhausted.
I'm only one of those people. That's only one instance. Had a more popular player done what I did, nothing would have happened.


I'm not telling you to stop playing Animal Jam. It's a fun game. But please don't do what I did and withhold the belief that they are looking out for us. They really aren't.

AJHQ hates me tbh, because I pointed out the fact they care so much about their "famous" jammers so much, and dont care about the rest. EVEN THOUGH, half of those "famous jammers" have a bad history, and alot of the other jammers are almost clean slate and get tossed aside like garbage. I've seen bepper, lilacpetal, aparri, etc. scamming so many times. And yet, they still promote them. For why? because AJ only cares about money. And with them advertising, they get more players, with more players, comes more money. They didnt make AJ to help kids learn about animals and nature, they made it for money. Hell, I got hacked a week ago , they said I was attempting to lie to get items. No retards, check the location. Said the log in was from Colorado , I live in Illinois. No way I can get from Illinois to Colorado in 2 hours. Because I was only offline for 2 hours and came back and my headdress and collar was gone. Yet even though they had thatlog in information, I was still lying. But if i was appari or something and i wasnt even hacked and i wanted items im sure they would send some right away. As I see them get gifts from ajhq for no reason all the time. AJHQ , does not care and I dont think they ever will unless, well , youre famous.

Thank you! finally someone is speaking up about this. I've recently lost a Purple and yellow long a buddy that quit gave to me and a few days after i got gifted them they were gone. I emailed AJHQ about this and went through this long string of frustrating emails to being eventually told that the items seemed to never be on my account, they said in the email that they "weren't suggesting that i was lying" but tbh if they really thought that they would have no need to bring it up XD.

It pathetic, Animal Jam really needs to become more considerate about their players because trust me, if they dont their gonna lose players, which decreases their income with eventually makes them give up the game. I love the game, dont get me wrong but im very disappointed in the way they treat their "money makers" which we basically are.

The same thing happened when my account was hacked and my blue and red short sets went missing. I messaged ajhq and they said I never had those items. I knew that I had them because I had gotten a pink long from someone for doing art for them and traded it for the 2 sets. Luckily I ended up getting a pink long from the desert but was tricked into trading it for a lava archway (the user told me it was worth a red long and later on this thread I was told it was worth a good short or a green long) but then I was able to trade for another pink long from someone on this thread so I'm all good now.

I'm not stating that she still is that way, but the point is that she did rotten things in the past and is still given priority over other, less popular players who did the exact same thing.

Both of your situations suck. Seems like Animal Jam accusing people of lying has become a common theme (although they most likely have a valid reason to)

Yes, I am 100% completely locked down. They monitor every single VPN and IP I've signed in on and probably use Flash to peer through the fishbowl... I was told that they made spreadsheets of each and every one of my social media accounts and emails.

Hacking is a hobby of mine, but hacking little kids on an MMO website is hardly a reason to break the law... :P Animal Jam accounts themselves are fairly secure now with the CAPTCHA but the administrative website is STILL unprotected.

AJ wants them to make videos. They allow it for them. I'm advertising their game just the same as the famous ones , but since im a nobody, its frowned upon according to AJ.

With mine, they said I did have the items, but they were intentionally gifted to another player. How else is a hacker supposed to get items to him/herself other then gifting or trading ? Plus, they had the location of the player. yet the said they didnt see my ticket request eligible for any compensation

I know what you're saying here, but I think it's a little badly phrased. To avoid flamewar, I'll elaborate
Basically,USAMagnol states that not everybody can be special to Animal Jam.
I state that everyone should be EQUAL to Animal Jam, no matter which side of the spectrum they (AJHQ) choose.
Kaneki Ken, in response to Magnol, states that it is unfair to them and other content creators because they objectively put in the same work.

First off, namaste and peace - I respect everyone's opinions and recognize/agree that as with everything, AJ isn't perfect.

Regarding famous jammers scamming: unlikely that AJ will discipline for something they haven't seen in game. If a mod sees incriminating lines of chat that meet the requirements for a discipline, they will do so appropriately. If they don't see anything or something that meets the requirements, they will not discipline. That's not to say that they aren't human and don't make mistakes.

Regarding missing items not being replaced: I believe that AJ does a one-time courtesy replacement for scammed/lost items. They might not anymore though. A lot of people take advantage of things like this and unfortunately ruin it for others. As for different IP address, a lot of people share account info and how is AJ to know otherwise? Not saying that this is the case for you or others on this thread, just pointing out that it's a thing, and it would be unfair to make exceptions. I am sorry that you lost your items.

Regarding creating a "hacking" program: can't really say much about this. It does violate AJ's Terms of Service. Not sure exactly why; perhaps they view it as you altering their game (because users could obtain gems by way other than that which AJ has coded). Regardless, I don't like every governmental law that exists but I abide by them because I want to live
"freely"/happily lol. Violating the ToS probably applies to the MidWest JamCon ordeal as well. I am sorry that you got banned.

Regarding chat suspensions and Youtube: @usamagnol_, because this is considered personally identifiable information, and as AJ tries to remain COPPA compliant, they must abide by this to the best of their abilities. I don't know how famous jammers came about. It does seem like many/most have been playing for a while, so maybe before AJ got "smart" or more strict? No idea.

I have no issue with you all discussing your problems with AJHQ, but please remember that the AJ YouTubers are human too, they make mistakes like anyone else. Just because AJHQ favors them, doesn't mean they should be treated differently by us fellow players.
