I have made a character based off of my significant other, and I spoil the two of them with art!

I do make a character for them just so I can draw and write about all of our funny encounters and dates. Then when the significant other and I break up, I usually retire the character into my little character vault and they do not show their face again for a while. Most times the significant other does not know about this character being them xD

I'm looking to upgrade art programs. I'm currently using FireAlpaca, but I'm looking at Sketchbook Pro or Sai. I want to kinda upgrade and get some finer tuning points as in getting clean-er lines and having more pixel options. I've tried to use GIMP but it didn't work out at all. I like simple, but I want options. What do you use and what do you recommend? (I have a tablet and have been using it for around 3.5 years so I'm pretty comfy with it)
Definitely SAI, very simple but powerful- has good tools and lots of possibilities. I use it,photoshop,and gimp and SAI is the basics for me until i move to another program to complicate details of shading. Lots of settings but simple enough its not too overwhelming.

yes x3 i dont have a significant other rn but i draw based on real life so much that many of my friends have representative characters. some people might think its bizarre but my friends always seemed to think it was cool and enjoyed my interpretations of them. Same with significant others
an example;; bloop (art by me)
my girlfriend at the time absolutely loved that art piece, and thoroughly embraced Felicia (the fox)'s concept and character. We're still friends nowadays and the character has stuck around, though she and Kajah now reflect the same friendship role rather than a relationship

I use SAI. it's simple enough where i was up and drawing very quickly after installing it, but has enough options where nowadays I can put a ton of different details and touches into my drawings. I found it very easy to get into, with a lot of depth to further explore for different effects in my art projects. I used to have to use gimp and ever since I got SAI i have not touched gimp again except to export animations. 11/10 would totally recommend. SAI is awesome, in my experience. Though i havent tried sketchbook pro so idk if that one is better or not

Like Sixbane haha all of my partners have fursonas <3 Ironically though my primary sona is actually mated to one of my fiance's that isn't a sona because it fits into the canon that I have for Alex. I wish at least one of my sonas could be mates with one of theirs, blah. I'm hoping that my newest guy Mark can fit into that idea!

Its that time of year again! I'm saving up money to buy my partners and friends all gifts for the holidays! I have several things open to try to raise funds: Storm and Tidal Wave semi customs
Closed species sales, includes a Cinnabutt Zodiac Cinnadog, Pandora species/design, and lot of other cool things!
Mains and sonas for sale here!
Most of these things are open only for dA points so I can buy art for my partners or for USD so I can get them other presents. However I'm also looking for CS art stores that take pets, I really don't follow or know a lot of artists on here that do art shops, so if you have a shop or have recommendations please let me know! I will also be doing more aesthetic adopts, I have so many ideas for them you guys don't even know. If contacting me about prices or sales for things over on my dA, please contact me there!
