Angela || Friendships only please!
Angela is very sweet and kind, and hails from Switzerland. She believes wholly in using nonviolent efforts to solve problems. She's an extraordinary doctor, taking after her parents. She originally never planned on being a doctor, but after her parents died in the hospital after a horrible accident, she wanted to help people as best she could so they could at least have a chance at keeping their loved ones around. Despite this, she has a bad habit of questioning authority and breaking rules, but this risk-taking has led her to save many people that the hospital she works at would have sent to other hospitals or worse.
When her parents died, it was the beginning of several hard changes for her. She had to learn how to sustain herself and bevome an adult all too quickly in a world she was alone in. Forced to grow up earlier, she began having difficulty dealing with change. She began dreading any sort of change in her life, and in a way to try and cope with her issue with change she got a necklace with the mathematical symbol delta connected to it, as a way to tell herself change is okay and is inevitable in her day to day life. She still struggles with the concept of change, but not as badly as when she was adapting to adult life. When she feels fearful of change, she sits down and ruminate on how she feels while holding her delta necklace.
For now, Angela is working at a children's hospital in Switzerland. She helps boost the children's morale by dressing up in a red and white valkyrie suit she hand made herself. She chose red and white because they're the standard colors of a medic or doctor, and included a pair of large glowing wings that open and close with the push of a button on her wrist. When she dons the valkyrie suit, she becomes who the children call Miss Mercy, morale booster and smile bringer. Outside of the suit, she's Dr. Angela. Only the smartest children know her "secret alter ego" and are sworn to secrecy.
Castorena || 1 or 2 partners, friends
Castorena is kind, gentle and loves beauty, harmony and peace. However, in her effort to keep everyone happy, she can find it difficult to say ‘NO’ to anyone, and as a result, she ends up getting stressed. Castorena is well-known for her diplomatic skills and have the ability to listen to differing points of view with a great deal of patience. She is the one that, when an argument starts between her friends, normally ends the conflict with a solution for both sides of the conflict. Castorena never goes to extremes, and mostly chooses the middle path in order to please the people around her, whatever the issues may be.
When dealing with herself or put under pressure, one of the most difficult things for Castorena is to make a decision. When faced with a choice, it is very tough for her to select what is best for herself and the people involved, which can become a big hurdle in her path. She has a strong sense of justice and fair play. She may skillfully find her way out, but she will never resort to cunning methods to get what she wants. She has a very pleasing manner of talking and also choose pleasant subjects to talk about, which makes people feel happy in her company.
Castorena can come up with brilliant and novel ideas using her imaginative powers. However, in the process she can end up with ideas that may not be too practical, or may be too over-ambitious. Most of the time, she has a friend read over her ideas and scraps the ones that they say aren't too great. It's hard for her to make friends at times, as she is inclined to doubt people’s intentions as she carries an imaginary fear, and cross-checks everything anyone she newly meets says. She is both mentally and physically clingy. She can find it difficult to let go of things close to her heart, and hence, she find it difficult to look beyond the imperfections and move on. Because it is so hard for her to make new friends, she often clings to the ones she has now.
Jesse || Friends only, please!
Living on a large ranch out in the country, Jesse spends his days tending to the large herds of animals he owns on said ranch. He moved from the South, bringing his overly sweet tea, southern lilt, and wisecrack attitude with him. equipped with a seemingly endless amount of energy and humor, he's always generally aloof. This attitude can change quickly when presented with a pressing task or anything serious and then his mindset changes completely to kick him into serious mode. He has a hard time making new friends, as his past prevents him from getting too close to anyone at first. It takes many attempts to break the layer of stone around his heart to get to the gold underneath.
He has an adopted daughter he named Maura, but he has a nickname only he can call her, Molly. Jesse found her as a kit when she was left behind, unwanted by her father. He originally meant to just help her find a new home, but she eventually broke through the before mentioned layer of stone and bared the gold underneath. He decided to keep her, and now proudly refers to her as his one and only daughter.
Maura || Friends only || Being Grown
Maura, only still growing, has faced a hard life already. Her father never wanted her, and when he left his previous home he left her behind by telling her he'd be back, but he never returned to come and get her. She remained in the empty home, hoping for him to return. When he didn't, she gave up. But, instead of her father, Jesse showed up, seeing her curled up on the empty porch and took her home.
Despite the hard hand she was dealt, she is always optimistic and happy. "Think on the bright side of death" she always says. She's the most tomboyish girl in her class, and will wrestle anyone into the dirt when given the chance. Maura's been picking up Jesse's southern lilt, so to speak, and using the mannerisms he uses. She's even gone as far as making up her own mannerisms. So far, her favorite is "We bamboozled them better than a sack of nails!"
Riley || Friends and Mates!!
Riley is very extroverted and absolutely loves people. She dislikes being around others and prefers to be alone most of the time. She works as a herpetologist at the local zoo, and had quite the collection of frogs. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, she has a presentation in the children's area of the zoo, Nature's Nook, about frogs and their different habitats, abilities, and facts about them. She is most fascinated by Poison Dart Frogs and the effects of their venom on living things. She doesn't experiment of course, but she does extensive research on the topic. Her home life isn't much different than at the zoo, her basement is full of frogs of varying species that she has rescued, keeping safe in her home.
