Oaktail limped to Reedheart and stood between him and Duskpelt. "Please, stop." His voice was soft his injury hurt. Some wounds reopened and bleed out.

Duskpelt looked at his wound and surprisingly asked," Why do you protect this cat." He wanted to see if Reedheart had made strong connections with others and glanced at Oaktail, his green eyes like jade gems.

Reedheart looked up at Oaktail," Oak-tail..." He whezzed, his eyes half closed.

Oaktail bale fed himself before continuing. "He is my friend. He and I fought off foxes, he helped me get back to camp. He saved me from dying," tears started to fall from his eyes. "He brings me prey when I am hungry. He helped me, so I will be there to help him. No matter how hurt I am, even if I die protecting him." He winced as he slightly stumbled.

Ashrunner padded out of the camp, staring at Reedheart. She let out a sharp yelp and ran to him. ``What happened? I'll shred that loner for you, okay? Oh, StarClan, don't die!`` Hearing Oaktail's speech, she padded to the tom's side. ``Reedheart is a close friend of mine as well. He helped me with herbs, he stuck beside me. We've had our arguments but I wouldn't trade him for all the stars in the sky. I will die for him too.``

Duskpelt looked from Ashrunner, Oaktail, then too Reedheart, his body on the floor, flailing about, and Duskpelt felt a pang of guilt shot threw him, and he ran off into the cleaning.
Reedheart watched him leave, but was to exhausted to say anything, and just flopped back his head to the ground. To his surprise, Duskpelt was returning, his jaw full if herbs, and he placed them down beside Reedheart, implying he could be healed.

Reedheart was sprawled out, unable to move anymore as he saw Tallpaw moan his name and he tried to smile that some actually cared about him. Once more he closed his eyes and tears came from them whilst he slept or lay unconscious, but he was dreaming of how he came to the clan, how the foxes came when Mousestar fled and how he fought them with Oaktail, who for badly injured, but made it. Ashrunner had taught him the skills to be a medicine cat once, and it saved his mate, Stormtail's life. Reedheart tried to think of all the good memories, as he knew not if he would join Starclan.

Reedheart felt the nudge and manged to smile slightly, but his eyes were still closed and he couldn't speak yet.
Duskpelt looked at the apprentice who was nudging him, and asked, his head down," Is this cat your mentor? What does this cat mean to you?" He was curious and upset to know who cared about him.

" How can my brother just make bonds with others so quickly... Why does he make such a good fiend, or part mentor? I don't understand..." Duskpelt was looking a Reedheart who had stopped smiling, but his ear twitched as he was trying to move.

Reedheart still had tears flooding down him and all the wanted, was cats who could love him, he always wanted kits, so he fought for Hailkit, what cat was he? Ashrunner was there even though he scowled her for calling her kit a monster. Reedheart opened one eye and glanced behind him to see Tallpaw.

Duskpelt may have felt guilty, but he was still cold hearted. " What do you want, kit." He growled slightly, knowing she was not a kit, but was still angered at Reedheart who was attempting to talk.
