Poppypaw felt awkward, since she didn't know Dewstorm well enough to actually comfort her. She felt rude for listening in to Riverstar's conversation but couldn't help but think it was odd for the leader to mentor a complete stranger.

Fallenstep just stared at Riverstar and the cats who were trying to comfort Dewstorm and trying to clear up the situation.
'Well I am just an old scrawny cat anyways' Fallenstep thought to herself and she limped away. Her crooked paw's joints were staring to ease thanks to Mintstripe's paste.

He could tell that Riverstar was still doubtful, and added, "Remember the story of how Bluestar from the legendary ThunderClan brought in a little kitty pet into the Clan? Well, it was that kitty pet who did great things in his lifetime. In fact, he became one of the greatest warriors StarClan had ever known. He wasn't welcomed by his Clanmates at first, with determination, he became their leader." Mintstripe looked back at Riverstar, hoping he was able to comfort him.

D ewstorm looked down at Leafkit. She lapped her daughter's ear. She looked around the camp. She noticed that some cats were gathered around a single cat. The cats pelt was unfamiliar.In a distance, Mintpelt and Riverstar were talking in murmurs. Who is that?

"Ah, yes." Riverstar let himself smile lightly. Still, doubts filled his thoughts. Would the rest of the Clan feel the same way as Mintstripe about the kittypet-turned-warrior of the ancient ThunderClan? He realized more than a couple cats were listening in on the conversation, so he ended it with a dip of his head to the medicine cat. He would have to call a Clan meeting soon to announce that Eagle would be joining the Clan, but a bit reluctant to do so, he decided to approach Dewstorm. "Hello, Dewstorm," he greeted her. "I...I'm so sorry for your loss," he meowed as he glanced at the body of Leafkit.

D ewstorm dipped her head and looked up to Riverstar. "C-can I return back to warrior duties?" She asked sadly. "maybe that will take my mind off of the horror of Leafkit's death."

The loner snorted at Crowtooth's words. "Ha! Only name I know is my own. You can just continue doin' whatever. Just don't hunt 'round here. My family's been living here since before you and your Clan came into the forest," Mourn meowed, waving his tail, "And I've promised to keep it safe." With those parting words, he sauntered off, fluffy tail high in the air as he went to look for food.

Crowtooth stared as the loner walked. He snorted and left his way to go hunt for some prey. He sniffed the air and found a scent immediately. A few seconds later the shriek of a mouse ripped the silence and Crowtooth proudly looked at his catch and started to returned back to camp to put this in the fresh-kill pile.

Meadowbreeze stands up from where she was sitting. A kit...dead...what would have happened if Mintstripe hadn't found the snake She thought sadly, a shiver of fear running down her spine. She pads over to Dewstorm, Riverstorm, Foxberry, and a stranger. Who is that? "Dewberry...I'm so sorry...but I know Starclan, and her brother, will take good care of her." She meowed quietly. She turned to Riverstar "Who's this?" She asked, pointing her head towards the stranger.
