Trying not to cry, Moorpaw approached the family, setting her tail gently against Poppykit.

"Please, StarClan.... Let her live..." Mousestar yowled, pressing harder against her, as if he was going to use another life for her.

Poppykit closed her eyes and continued to cry. "Please, even though mommy yelled at us and said mean things she didn't mean. Please try and let her live." She spoke in her normal quiet soft tone. This world she didn't like, if her mother died she hoped starclan would take care of her. "Starclan please be kind."

It was as if StarClan answered their prayers. Ashrunner opened her eyes once more, her breathing started up. She was still very weak, but she laughed softly. `` . . . ``

Mousestar opened his green eyes. "Ash..?"

"Momma?" Bluekit called, pressing into her side.

Poppykit passed out from all the stress and shock.

Oaktail limped to Reedheart and stood between him and Duskpelt. "Please, stop." His voice was soft his injury hurt. Some wounds reopened and bleed out.

Hailkit marched past, dragging his sister over.

Poppykit's body was limp as her brother dragged her.

Ashrunner began to groom each of her kits, and pressed tightly against Mousestar.
