Hawktalon

He woke to a start, he felt uneasy. What is that?, he thought and stood up and walked out of the den, being careful not to wake anyone else. No cat was out and about yet so he decided to go on a patrol, when he got a little farther into the woods he could smell blood, he knew the badgers were out and it was probably just them but as he kept walking he almost tripped over two dead cats' bodies, "no..", he said in a hard tone and ran back to camp, "Softstar!", he yelled trying to get her attention.

Blackpaw was sleeping just outside the medicine cats den, his small black paws folded under him, and his tail covered his nose. The apprentice had fallen asleep the night before, only hoping to rest his eyes, but when he opened them, Blackpaw realized that sunlight was shining into the camp instead of the eerie glow of moonlight. But it wasn't routine that woke him up, it was the yowling of his Clanmate. Lifting his head up groggily, the small tom complained, "Hawktalon... Cant you be quiet?" Seeing that the tom was in destress, he padded up to him slowly. "Is something the matter?"

Crowpaw heard commotion outside the apprentice's den and peeked out curiously. He had to be honest, he was enjoying having the whole den to himself, but it was a bit lonely too. He was excited for when Reedkit would become an apprentice so he would have a denmate and someone to complain and talk and share tongues with.

Identifying Hawktalon as the cat who had yelled for the leader, he padded out of the den and sat down. The older warrior looked worried... something had to be serious if he were calling for Softstar so early in the morning. Concerned, Crowpaw sat down near the entrance of his den and waited for Hawktalon to say what had happened to get him so spooked.

Sweetdrop had been fishing by the stream as he usually was, there was nothing like morning hunting in the warrior's opinion. The air always seemed fresher and the colors crisper. Today as he had been carrying his fish back to camp a certain color was prevalent; red. The tom had dropped his catch in favor of looking over the fallen pair. Two cats, both of them his denmates, who could have done such a thing? Bile rose in Sweetdrop's throat, the only scent he could find was that of Riverclan's but surely none of his clan would do this?

Turtlefoot opened her eyes and looked around for the sounds of distressed voices and rushed paw steps that had ruined her peaceful sleep. Her eyes flew to Reedkit who was curled up in a tiny ball and snoring quite loudly for such a tiny kit. "Hmm." She mumbled, curious. I wonder what's going on..Maybe best not to leave Reedkit, though. Her bright yellow green eyes landed safely back to the little ball of fluff beside her. I wont ever leave your side, my sweet Reedkit. She laid her head next to his and waited for him to wake.

Cinderwind yawned, getting to her paws and walking out of the warriors den, blinking her eyes. "What's going on?" She mumbled. Now in the clearing where the distressed call was sounded.

Softstar

Softstar quickly sits up in her den. She was trying to catch a few more z's, but she decided it wasn't a good idea to ignore the shouts of her clan. She pads out of the leader's den and looks at the tom. Dipping her head, she pads closer to the cat."Hawktalon?" she raises her head to face him. She opened her mouth to ask the question but says nothing, thinking the tom would know what was coming next. Glancing around, seeing other cats beginning to wake up, which causes some alarm for the she cat.
