Tyler watched Splashfeather jump off of the fence. Her glowing blue eyes flashed back into his mind. He sighed. He should be thinking of how Doestrike was alive, not how lovely her eyes were.

Owl opened her mouth to taste the air. "If I'm smelling correctly, then I'm not inside your border. Although I sure am close to it. Why do you need a border anyway?" She leaned in curiously. "Can't you hunt here anyway?"

Squirreltails just lashed her tail. Maybe the cat wasn't over the border yet, but she didn't like how close she was ether. She narrowed her eyes. "Clans are big and need to protect their territory from other cats, so we can feed the clan. Every mouse in the territory counts," she said and glanced at the prey that the brown cat hid behind herself.

"Why don't you just share your prey?" Owl suggested abruptly. "Surely everyone sharing it would be better than fighting all the time- or if every cat just caught their own prey, like I do."

Squirreltails looked at the cat and realised that the cat had no idea of clan life, and didn't know how it is when cats chase you away form your home, or when the prey is so scarce you can barely feed the kits. "Sometimes there is not enough prey to be shared." She said calmly. "We are stronger together. And some cats can't catch prey for themselves." she added, sat down and lashed her tail over her paws. She observed the young she cat. She assessed that she was about the age of an older apprentice or a young warrior.

"I'm interested," Owl said, leaning in further. "I'd like to see this "Clan" of yours. Can I come inside your territory if you escort me?" She paused. "It sounds strange but logical, hunting for others who are too old or young to hunt for themselves. I wouldn't want to starve when I get older."

the little smokey coloured female let out a gentle sigh as she padded across camp. as she walked her eyes focussed on a small bird that rested on the freshkill pile and her mouth began to water. it hadn't been too long since the feline has eaten, but she still felt as if she could eat enough prey to feed a whole clan.

smokepaw leaned down and plucked up the blue bird in her jaws, eyes sparkling with satisfaction as she carried the feathered animal to a corner of the camp. the apprentice smiled to herself and ungracefully plonked to the ground, licking her lips and taking the first bite of her meal.

Doestrike just came back from the hunting patrol. She successfully caught a rabbit. As she approached the camp, she noticed Splashfeather walking back to camp too. "Hello Splashfeather." She mewed. She looked at Splashfeather with marigold in her mouth. "You have got a lot of marigold." She noticed. "Where did you get it?"

Squirreltails narrowed her eyes and her tail flicked from one side to the other. She looked at the cat again, she didn't look like a threat, but Squirreltail never much liked outsiders. Thinking about it for a moment she got up and turned around, "I think that should be alright." she said, thinking that the leader would probably be a bit irritated, but she figured that it was better to take the cat in than to find her running around the territory. If needed, the number of cats in the clan would be able to scare her away for good. The lean she-cat flicked her tail signing the young cat to follow. "Do you have a name?" she asked as they were heading back to camp.

Owl grabbed her mouse from behind her and then began to trot after the strange she-cat. "Yes. My name is Owl. What's your name?
