Rainypaw awoke with a stretch and a yawn. She had decided to take a nap. She groomed her fur quickly before padding out onto the sand. She flicked her ears hearing a very far off mew but thought nothing of it. Instead of going to investigate she decided to go see if there were any other apprentices willing to play with her.

Nurikit opened her eyes barely even though all she would see was blackness. She flicked her ears and needs softly under her breath before closing her eyes again, her breathing slowing again. Her bones were very visible and she was very weak. Had she laid there a few days longer she would have died.

Nurikit stayed still and silent. She flicked her ears before going back to her still presence.

Oh my gosh! ;Pebblesplash looked down at the small feeble kit, and a jolt of shock and sadness appread in her mind.;
Tidestar! Can I take care of the kit? I have no milk for it, but I can keep it warm... please.... I don't want it to die...
;Her memories flashed back to long ago, and her eyes glazed and dulled. She cleared them and looked back up at him, an enormous wave of sadness pouring off of her.; Please...

Rainypaw flicked her ears and turned around to see the leader with a very small and weak kitten. She hurried over and looked worriedly up at Tidestar."Sir? What happened? Who is this kit? Why are they so weak and small?" She asked in her soft voice, looking back and forth between the to and the kit.

Nurikit flinched and and opened her blind eyes for a second before closing them again. Her sides barely moved as her breathing had slowed. The small, weak, blind kit had been left alone too long without care or food and was near death. Her silver tabby fur was covered in sand so it was more of a sand cat fur.

Pebblesplash nuzzled the small kit, saying, "You'll be okay, I'll take care of you."

This is the perfect chance to show Tidestar I would be a good mother! Maybe he would take me more seriously now.... Her ears got hotter the more she thought about Tidestar, then her mind raced back to the kit. Poor thing!

sorry for not posting, could i have a recap for aspenwing? i'm going through a really hard time in my life so i haven't been able to get posts up. i just had a close relationship end and i've been quite depressed. thanks for understanding!
