many many moons ago, a warrior by the name of splitheart left her clan in search of a new home. she finally came across a lush and beautiful forest, the perfect place to call home. so she founded splitclan, and hoped to live in peace for the rest of her days.

but starclan wouldn't allow this. splitheart's true intents were to bring down all the other clans with her warriors, and destroy her former clanmates. they visited her in a dream, but she refused to change her plans. so starclan shrouded the forest in eternal darkness, closing it off from the rest of the clans.

but the dark forest saw this ordeal, and gave the cats of splitclan powers to hopefully weaken starclan. splitheart eventually died, but her clanmates have passed her ideas down generation after generation.

once you officially become a splitclan cat, you cannot leave the forest and you are given a power

most apprentices find their power by about seven-ish moons

dead clanmates go to their own version of starclan

no other animals live in the forest, as per the curse starclan put on there

splitclan cats are never hungry, thanks to their powers

splitclan cats are normally long-furred dark-colored cats

no shapeshifters. imp has claimed the only one.

the mountains
at the beginning of the mortal territories, there is a large mountain range visible from the edge of the forest.

the forest's edge
if you turn your head to the left, you'll see the start of the mortal territories. i'll show you around them quickly so we can get to the splitclan camp.

the mortal camp
the cats of "faunaclan", or the mortals as we splitclan cats call them, live here in their puny little camp.

end of the mortal territories
the mortal clan territories are dense and lush, filled with prey and light. as you tread on to where the mortal territories end, you will notice that the woods get thicker and fog arises.

splitclan's border
as you go on deeper into the fog, you will find the border between the mortal clans and splitclan. no splitclan cat can go past this area into the mortal territories.

near the border
you have finally made it through the thick fog, and you are now in splitclan territory. the areas near the border are much lighter and have a more saturated tone than the other areas.

the puddle
as you head for the splitclan camp, you find a small puddle. it looks to be only a few inches deep at most. but be careful. it is actually as deep as a lake, and one careless step could send you spiraling down into it's darkest depths.

the training spot
you're almost at the camp. but something's odd. this part of the forest has an eerie brown glow, unlike the rest of the forest. this was the area that the dark forest cursed. splitclan's apprentice's train here, and it is where they all discover their powers. whenever a new cat joins splitclan, if they are more than seven moons old, they are taken here to be accepted and find their power.

the river
almost there. you can almost seethe cam- uh oh. first we had a puddle as deep as a lake, but this time it's not a puddle. don't worry. while the puddle looked shallow but was very deep, the river looks deep but is very shallow. see? the water only goes up to the middle of your forelegs.

the clearing
finally, you've arrived at the camp. you can see the colors of the forest more clearly, but it is still dark and dreary, the way we like it. c'mon, i still have to show you more.

mountain trail
this trail leads up to the mountains, the end of our territory.

death mountain
as you go up the mountain, you become confused. you can remember the way back, but the trail has ended. all the cats that have gone here have either had to go back to splitclan or have died. the mountain becomes so foggy and the trees become so dense that cats get lost and die, or the harsh weather there gets to them. no one reaches the summit of death mountain.

Coldstar was in her nest, snoozing. She was dreaming about a bloody battle between SplitClan and StarClan, a common dream of hers. She awoke from her lovely dream and sat up in her nest. She peered through the vines hanging down from the den entrance into camp. "Hardly anybody's gotten up yet." she grumbled. SplitClan's leader decided to stay in her nest and groom her pelt, as it had gotten matted and clumped. Hey, even evil cats gotta look pretty. When she was finished, the silver tabby laid back down into her nest, slipping into the realm of dreams. But to her remorse, she didn't resume her favorite dream again, instead dreaming about waging war against FaunaClan. Eh, good enough.

Shatteredpeace walked out of the warriors den and yawned. He stretched and shook out his pelt, clearing himself of morning grogginess. He walked into the center of camp and plopped down on his haunches, waiting for cats to come so he could assign a border patrol. Since there wasn't a deputy yet, he was in charge of patrols. Recently, FaunaClan warriors had been found too close to the border. "We'll teach those mortals a lesson," he grunted. He, like all SplitClan cats, hated the cats from other clans. Splitheart was going to destroy those puny clans and become great, but StarClan just had to interfere. His pelt bristled just thinking about it. Ever since he was a kit, he'd heard stories about how awful and evil StarClan was. He dug his claws into the ground, tearing up some moss.

Opening his eyes to meet the sun he thought, Nightshade gets to his paws and begin to look through his herbs which he kept hidden behind a rock in his den. The tom never dream of Starclan till last night, but he dare not tell Coldstar as he fears her. Nightshade walks out the den, to see what the others are up to.
