When the wulfunite accepted her help, her lips spread into a smile, it had been centuries since she last smiled like that. It seems that wulfunite had accepted her, and since she had hard feelings toward the amber, she too must ignore her, at least in wulfunite's presence. she had to admire the little boy, she hadn't ever recalled a human being so selfless for those that weren't their own species. she quickly gained the impression that this was certainly a special human. she heard the term "crystal gem" used by the Amber, but tried to forget it. She must've misunderstood, the crystal gems died with those left behind, that she was sure of.

However, the situation didn't improve. "Steven" had mentioned a garnet, she only knew of one garnet and that was the intergem fusion of a ruby and sapphire, which was quite the controversy. With wulfunite's final words a pride washed over her, the large gem seemed to approve of her, which make her happy but the words that followed the approval shocked her "not homeworld scum"? "homeworld scum"?! That didn't fit at all, she must've been joking. Powder giggled in a sweet, bell-like tone but it was caked with nervousness and disbelief "aha, oh wulfunite, I didn't know you had such a sense of humor!" she complimented, unsure why she was leaving and whether or not to follow. wulfunites were low class gems, and she likely had no use for a pearl. It seemed once again she didn't have any purpose, but atleast she had found her kind.

She glanced over at the little boy and crouched near him curiously "your hand, it must not feel too well, humans are quite sensitive... I'm not expertly trained, but the ocean water isn't as healthy as it once was, you'll get any burns you might have infected this way... We must find another way to relieve your pain." she said in a tender, concerned tone. even if she couldn't belong to wulfunite, she could at least aid the sweet boy she cared so much about. besides, she was quite curious if the garnet he mentioned earlier

"H-Hold on! I'll help you." I yelped at Steven, running from the Pearl and to the house to get ice. After several struggles to not burn the ice and melt it, I ran over to Steven, putting the bag on his arm. "Ice is so hard to put in a bag..Anyways, Pearl Blue Powder it is, right? Im Amber...If you couldnt tell by Miss Temper." I said, fuming at the name.

Steven smiled awkwardly at the other gem, taking his hand out of the water, suddenly sitting upright in a moment of realisation. "Oh wait!" He laughed at his own ignorance, and brought his hand up to his face, giving it a nice lick. It tasted salty and sandy, making him cringe a little, but his saliva did its job, healing his hand pretty quickly. "I forget I can do that..." He looked back up at the other gem, "so hey- Im Steven-" he said slowly, standing up. "Thanks Amber, I'm good"

I stared blankly at the bag of ice, which was quickly melting,and then threw it with all of my force into the ocean. "All the pain is gone; I have slain the ice bag." I said blankly, staring at the large splash in the ocean from my throw. "Anywaysss!" I smiled, turning back

The woman gave the pearlan unreadable look before slipping past and on her way. Wulf never felt like she had a place or friends that were hers. All she was good and used for was the heavy stuff. Never did they need her. Just as easily had the new gem come, she'd stolen the show. Well good for them, she thought bitterly, they can have the possible traitor. Wulf never really spoke about why she left. Only that she had. Homeworld gems- all of them- were evil and conniving and mean. Her own kind were like slaves- put only to work day in and day out. Never respected. Never thanked. Only used. And it sounded similar to what had happened then. The more valuable gems were prefered over the toss aways. Wulf was a human animal I'm comparison.

Wulfunite entered the city, slowly calming down but more...dejected and sad than she had been prior. She felt disgusted by it all, bitter and angry. Why. Why had he trusted the Amber? Innocent until proven guilty...hadn't that been answered the moment Amber attacked? Or had Wulf's own well being been tossed aside? Amber had attacked first. Both times she had. Yet Steven chose the enemy over her. The gem didn't understand anything about the planet or Steven's mindset. She didn't understand why people thought a certain way or why people could trust so easily. Or why 'lizards' burrow into the sand.

Was it worth it, trying to change her fate? Was it worth the fight. Worth the loss or uncertainty. Worth the pain? Wulf sat on the pier with a heavy thump, chin in hands. What had she done wrong to deserve all this.

She giggled sweetly once more when the Amber brought back a bag of ice. judging by the time it took, he had a rough time with that. She also found it ironic when she called the Wulfunite "miss temper" when Amber was the one to start combat by shooting her weapon first. "why yes I am, but most refer to me as "pearl", however it's more appropriate to call me "powder" in the presence of other pearls. I'm sure that won't be an issue on this planet.. I've been left here on earth after the rebellion, you and Wulfunite are the only mentally stable gems I've met in five thousand years.. is your ship nearby, I'd love to get back to serve my Larimar someday.. Although, I'm sure I've been replaced by now.." she looked at the ground sorrowfully for a short moment but was easily distracted with the human's sudden exclamation.

She proceeded to witness him licking his hand and watched the burn heal. She was aware he had said something afterwards but wasn't paying attention to his words. She jumped up suddenly frantic. "but.. Humans aren't capable is such powers! It's even rare among gems! she said in a voice that was almost a bird-like squawk, but her voice was too gentle to produce anything that sounded exactly like such a fowl tone. "how did you learn to do such things?" she said in a much gentler tone after the initial shock was starting to pass

Steven froze for a moment, before breaking into a smile, proudly lifting his shirt to reveal his Rose Quartz gem that gave him the ability to heal and do many other things, "im a crystal gem!" He said happily, "well.. Half gem, my mother was Rose Quartz" he forgot about the fact that he was supposed to lay low, and hide his gem from strangers, but his soft heart took liking to anyone and he trusted them sooner than he should have,

"Powder.... I like it!" I said with a mischevious grin. Turning to Steven, my eyes glittered with fascination. "Rose Quartz!?! She was so admirable in the war..I wish I was on her side though; I really liked her. I stood with the H.W Gems though, I was too afraid to join her, she intimidated me. I see where you get your kindness from, Steven!"

Powder's expression grew from shock to a more sorrowful one. She didnt need to ask how he was made, she had spent almost as much time with gems as she did humans, she knew how humans were made and wasn't surprised the intelligent quartz figured out a way to have her own child with a human. She had bitter feeling towards Rose Quartz, being that she is the reason that she has been alone for so long. But she knew that human children weren't responsible for any choices their human parents made, and assumed the same for a half-human child. If she ever got a chance to talk to Rose, she would likely have a few choice words, but just by looking at his gem, she knew that this boy had to have grown up without his mother, that was very hard on humans and so she decided to let him be.

But she couldnt let Amber only talk about how great she was,she did a lot of bad things too. She felt it unfair to sugarcoat everything for the boy "The leader of the rebellion, the only gem to shatter her own diamond.. I'm sure there's more to her than I knew, but her name still carries the fear I once had for her.. At least her Pearl isnt your mother, she's the one that truly intimated me." she giggled nervously, trying to lighten the mood. However, this didn't change her amazement that the crystal gems remained. "I had thought the rebellion was destroyed.. there's been other gems on Earth this whole time?" she asked in relaxed but startled tone, but suddenly grew fearful. if there were gems from the rebellion alive today, what if the one that attacked her recognized her? "how... many of you survived?" she asked nervously, glancing around her carefully.

Singing an old tune, I walked in the ocean water happily. But boredom soon overcame me and I ran up to the barn to check on Peridot and Lapis. "Peridot, Lapis! You two there?" I called out, my voice soft.
