greypaw rolled his eyes as she licked him, recoiling in disgust. "eww, gross. stop it." he pushed her away playfully, completely ignoring her telling him not to move.

Stormwatcher lay in a patch of sunlight, warming his unruly grey and white coat.

greypaw shrugged slightly, "no that's not it- it's just... you've already done so much for me, lilypaw. there's no need to do any of this, really." he insisted. if it was one thing greypaw hated, he hated letting others do kind favors for him, because then he felt like he owed it to them. it was odd but greypaw just felt this way. he sighed softly and laid his head on his paws. "i'm afraid i'm going to have to have my warrior ceremony pushed back." he pointed out, and added, "again."

The she-cat stretched and yawned, jerking when hearing Greypaw's voice. She crawled out of the nest with Fadedecho, then from the shadows. "Foxpaw still isn't a warrior," she pointed out to the young cat.

Wisteria ran as fast as she could towards the forest. She stopped, panting heavily, as her heavy breathing turned into sobs. The bushes rustled behind her. She turned, but not fast enough. Something grabbed her with sharp teeth by the neck, shaking her around furiously. She screeched for help, but couldn't hear anyone else calling back.

"Wisteria! I'm coming!" He had heard his best friend's cry for help and was coming to save her. He scented Wisteria, mice, vole, fox...
Fox? he thought to himself. As he ran further into the forest, Koda picked up another scent.
Blood. The thought made Koda shiver.
In the distance, he could see an orange figure holding a hissing black shape.
"Wisteria, hold on!!" Koda howled.
Koda's eyes filled with tears as the fox saw him and crunched down on his best friend.
A loud snap, and she was gone. Koda howled in anger.
The fox, terrified, ran off.
Koda ran to his best friend's side, nudging her and licking her wounds.
"Wisteria, no, no, no, no, no..." He called her name a few times, his voice cracking, but she never responded. Koda's words became sobs, ones that shook his entire body. His cries became louder by the second, his face soaking wet from the warm tears that rolled down his cheeks, down his muzzle, and off his nose. He curled up beside Wisteria, her scent mixed with blood filling his nose.
Koda's tears fell faster, making his head hurt. He gave a low whine, silently hoping Wisteria would wake up.
When she didn't, he tilted his head back, and gave a loud, pitiful howl.
