High school for the arts

I walk into the acting classroom, sitting down in the seat that I was in yesterday. I see that Eric is already in there, listening to music probably. I sit quietly, reading a book as I wait for class to start.

The teacher walked in and sat on the front of the stage. "Alright. Let's get started. I will have Eric's group come up first and then he will pick someone and so on until we get through everyone. Oh and also, if you preform here, I might give you a pass on auditions. You only have to do the dance part." He said. "Any questions?" He asked and answered a few simple ones like can you use your script on stage and various other ones. He then went and sat down and Eric stood up and walked onto the stage. He was not nervous at all.

I'm glad Eric wasn't nervous. I, on the other hand, was petrified. At least if I performed here, I might only have to dance for the audition. I could get through dancing, that was one area I felt confident in. Reluctantly, I stand up and walk to the front of the classroom as well, joining Eric.

(Okay!) Eric smiled at her and then bowed to the audience. He took his seat after telling someone else to go. The teacher stood up before the next group came up. "And that is how you act people! Great job you two. You are really good together." He said and sat back down.

I could only imagine how red my face was as I do everything not to run back to my seat. That was awful. More than awful, terrible. I couldn't have been anymore surprised when the teacher compliments us, but it was probably just because of Eric. Eric was such a great actor, he could even make me look like a good one. I'm just glad it's over.

Eric looked over st her and smiled seeing how red her face was. "You did really good. I could tell you were definitely into you character." He said to her and then looked at the next group as they went.

Hearing him, I look over at try to give him a soft smile. "Thank you," I tell him quietly, "you were amazing of course. I'm sure you'll get a lead role in the play."

"Thank you. I think you will get a great part as well especially when they see you dance." He said back to her.
