as wolfnose's name was called out, the tall tom cat's ears pricked up in surprise, his whole body stiffening in slight shock. wolfnose? deputy of twilightclan? he had always dreamed of owning such a title, but he felt so young. he felt like just yesterday he was having his warrior ceremony! of course, wolfnose figured that he was one of the candidates, but pondstar's decision still shocked him to the core. was he ready for the title? could he even handle it? did the clan support pondstar's decision? uncharacteristic self-doubt crawled through wolfnose's mind as he grinned shakily at mumblebrook's comment, still processing the unexpected announcement. on four spindly, shaky legs, wolfnose stood next to pondstar and swept his gaze across the camp, taking in everyone's reaction. he recognized doubt on several faces, and sheer outrage on hawkpaw's and dapplelight's. but beyond the dull roar in his ears, he heard the chanting. wolfnose, wolfnose, wolfnose! while some of the clan clearly weren't too sure of pondstar's choice, many of his clanmates, most noticeably owlpaw, as her screeching could be heard all the way from starclan, clearly supported him. with a swell of pride, wolfnose swallowed his anxiety and straightened his back, extending to his full height and proudly standing tall as he surveyed the clan. "i won't let you down," he whispered as he cast a glance at pondstar.

finchlight grinned at littlebird's suggestions, playfully baring her fangs at her mention of finchstar sounding more threatening. of course, she didn't think she'd make the better leader out of the two, but before she had time to argue, the deputy was announced. finchlight's ears pricked up and she swiveled her glance around to watch wolfnose nervously pick his way through the clan, cheering his name all the same. she bit back a twinge of worry as she watched his anxious expression get even worse, feeling sorry for the tom. maybe he really wasn't the best choice - and then she saw it. as the news seemed to settle with him, the ever-kind wolfnose seemed to grow more confident in himself, puffing his chest out and almost looking intimidating for once. finchlight laughed at littlebird's taunts, sticking her own tongue back out at her shorter friend. "you win this round, littlebird," the feline purr-whispered with another giggle, eyes still trained on pondstar and wolfnose.


[ sorry for super late posts!!! i had a paper due today and then i went to the fair with some friends, so i didn't have time earlier and didn't get home until late !i high-key forgot how deputy ceremony/appointments go i haven't read a warriors book in so long so if im getting something wrong its because im completely winging it ]

Pondstar dipped her head to the crowd of cats, "Meeting dimissed." As she stepped down from the Clanrock, she faced Wolfnose with a smile, "You'll be a fine deputy, Wolfnose. Your kindness and courage makes you a worthy candidate."

As Pondstar dismissed the meeting, Duskflame looked around any sight of another cat he could talk to. Everyone would need to return to their duties since it was morning, but the sun was starting to get higher in the sky. At once, Paleshade crossed his mind. Duskflame had always adored the she-cat's beauty and attractiveness, and thus she was his beloved crush. Duskflame tried to get any sight of the she-cat through the crowd of cats.






(Sorry that I haven't posted much today!! I felt a little sick this morning and couldn't get onto my computer until this afternoon. ;^;)

Paleshade looked over to Marigoldpool "Guess you were right, Wolfnose did become deputy." With a small smile, she shook out her fur guessing that Marigoldpool just had luck this time, but her imagination grew by each thought. Maybe Marigoldpool got a sign from Starclan, probably not though.

Squirrelpaw;;;

The tom chanted Wolfnose repetitively till it died down, Wolfnose was probably the ablest cat to be the deputy in his mind. "So what do you want to do now Cloverpaw?" The apprentice asked flicking his ears with a small but barely noticeable smile. Cloverpaw was fun to hang out with and didn't judge him for sticking too close to the rules.

After the clan meeting was over, she leaved her spot and padded into the fresh kill pile, looking if there was needs to go hunting. The pile seemed to have still lots of prey oin it, so she turned to see if her apprentice Icepaw was somewhere to be found.

He looked at the tom, thoughtfully "I don't know, do you have any ideas?" she meowed "Oh! the moss to Dapplelight, I needed to bring some to her" she meowed embrassed. She stood up and looked at the camp entrance "Could you want to come with me to get some?" she asked to Squirrelpaw.

She shot a smile back before looking back up to her leader, wondering if there were more announcements. after he said meeting dismissed that answered her question. "Paleshade, wan't to go hunting with me?" she offered flicking her tail.

Paleshade thought for a bit before giving a small nod. Paleshade grandfather was a kitty pet that seemed to lounge around, though her parents were hard workers her grandfather's blood still laid in her. Paleshade was never the best hunter or fighter, she almost failed her assessment as an apprentice and since then she hated hunting. Still a bit resentful fluffed her fur out trying not to let it get to her.

Squirrelpaw;;;

Squirrelpaw gave a nod a bit too eager to spend time with Cloverpaw, "Yes, of course." The tom let his pelt smooth out and put himself back into his regular calm, cool, collective self. Taking a second to clear his voice before talking he finally began "Shall we go?" He asked flicking his tail as he waited.

She nodded at him, happily flicking her tail, wondering "Now, where could we found the moss" she meowed mostly herself, but was waiting if the tom could have some ideas to that as well. Padding out of the camp she maked her way toward the rocky hills, thinking if some of thoise rockholes could hide some warm moss.
