Rise From the Ashes (Wolves with powers, accepting!)

Disdain heard his name being called and perked up a little from his position under a tree. He got up off of his haunches and walked over to the small group of wolves going on the patrol. He saw Breeze was in the mixed and flattened his ears, getting flustered. "Um, sorry, but I wasn't really listening. It's just us four going on a patrol, right?" He asked, having been startled out of a trance when he heard his name and "border patrol".

Aera watched as a small group of wolves consisting of Disdain, Phoenix, Churl, and Breeze gathered near the enterance to the camp, probably about to go off on a patrol of some sort. She yawned, still groggy from waking up and looked around camp to see who was out and about.

"Us five, yeah," Phoenix said with a wide grin. He loved patrols. His tail was wagging as he shifted from paw to paw, eager to get going. "You, me, Breeze, Churl, and umm Alpha." He felt awkward calling her 'Obtuse' in front of everyone.
"Do you want to lead the way?" he asked Obtuse.

Maggot tried to avoid his aggressive sister, who was mutilating a tree trunk again. Felon had been in a permanently bad mood ever since she found out she permanently lost her gift. Some wolves were going out, but as an Omega, Maggot was rarely invited on patrols. He was more useful around camp.
Tail wagging, he approached Aera with his muzzle low, and looked up at his Beta. "Hi!" he greeted her brightly.

"Hi, Omega," Aera responded, looking down at Maggot. She would have used his name, but she didn't like using the names of those who hadn't found out their powers yet, especially to their faces. She wasn't too fond of "Omega" either, but it was much better than "Maggot". "Do you have any plans?" She asked, shifting her front paws. Both of the alphas were leaving on patrol, so she wouldn't have much of a duty as of now, unless she planned to privately go hunting, which would not be particularly wise at a time like this with so many dangers.

Maggot was pretty happy that Aera didn't use his name. He sat down, wagging tail thumping the grassy ground. The little Omega really didn't like his embarrassing name, since it was a gross insect that he was scared of. Even his sister had a cool sounding name, even if it meant criminal.
"Not really," he admitted. "Ooh, maybe we could get some wolves together and train our powers! Maybe I'll find mine, and get a real name."

"Sure, thank you" Obtuse replied to Phoenix.
"Shall we go now then?" She asked, getting ready to lead the patrol out of camp

Aera smiled. "Sure, if you find some wolves to bring to a training session for powers, I would be willing to come along. I haven't used mine in a while, anyways, and I could use some practice," she responded, feeling hopeful. Maybe Maggot would get a real name, and she could stop calling him "Omega". "Although, we wouldn't want to be out too long, and be back before the patrol gets back, so the sooner, the better." Aera stood up and stretched her legs to get ready for training and a short walk.

Disdain nodded at Obtuse, ready to patrol. It had been some time since he had gone out on a patrol early in the morning, so he was glad that he had been chosen today. And especially since Breeze was there! He knew he shouldn't be this attached to her, after all, she had just saved him once, but he couldn't help feel a debt of gratitude to her...and maybe more.

Obtuse nodded back at Disdain, and started to lead the patrol out of camp.

Breeze followed the Alpha, while quickly padding up beside Disdain so she could speak to him.
"Hi!" She barked happily "Are you alright? You looked quite confused back there" She smiled.

Disdain turned to look at Breeze, surprised that she would come over and talk to him right away. "H-hi. Umm, yeah, I'm fine, I was just kinda...ya know...spacing out?" He managed, a little embarrassed at how jumbled his speech was. "So, how's it going b-being a sentinel?" He asked, regaining his composure.

"Good, I guess" Breeze replied "I'm quite happy being a Sentinel, at least I don't have to spy on people!" She swished her tail cheerfully, and spoke again.
"How is it going being a Scout?" She asked him.

"It's fun! I've always loved running, and I have a good body shape for hiding and enjoy it. To be honest, it reminds me of when I was a pup and I always tried to get someone to play hide and seek with me..." Disdain said, chuckling and wagging his tail a couple of times. "But..." Disdain sighed. "...those days are over now." His tail drooped back down to being still, and he focused on searching for anything out of the ordinary. "But what right do I have to be getting upset? There are many wolves in our pack that have it much worse than me!" He forced himself to act more cheerful, not wanting anyone to get concerned over him.
