Oaktail slowly opened his eyes and winced. "Everything hurts." He grunted and wanted to move to get comfortable but couldn't cause the pain.

His eyes stayed locked on her. "Will your name still be Ashrunner, or shall you change your name.." He asked. His eyes clouded, devastated that she had to give up her rank, but it was all for him. He felt the guilt for ripping her rank away from her.

Nightgaze nodded. "S- so..." She tried to change the subject to the conversation.

"Their not bleeding anymore, so it's just the after pain." He told him and placed the cobwebs around the areas it hurt," Tell me where it hurts the most." He told Oaktail, knowing he said it hurt everywhere, and with washed paws, he gently prodded certain areas.

Redfeather felt the uneasyness in he other shecat and smiled. "So how is your day? I'm a bit hungry do you want to share a piece of fresh kill?"

Oaktail yelped as he touched his side, "careful."

" I'm trying my best," he snapped a little but still remained calm and put some honey on him to smooth his pain," Would you like a poppy seed?" Reedheart asked.

Oaktail nodded and shut his muzzle. He rested his head on his paws and yawned still tired.

Reedheart pushed a poppy seed towards Oaktail, and left him to rest, and left the medicine den, heading towards the warrior's den to Stormtail.

"Sure" She padded over to the limited fresh-kill pile, picking up a vole and ripping it in half for her to share with Redfeather.

Oaktail ate the poppyseeds and closed his eyes falling to sleep.

Redfeather nodded and walked with Nightgaze. "Thank you," she started to eat her half and smiled. She enjoyed being with Nightgaze.
