Hawkfang wasn't going to talk to anyone until she took out her anger. She didn't want to attack her mate, so she had to get rid of her rage elsewhere. She found an old tree and began clawing it, snarling and growling, picturing the dead tree to be Molestar of MossClan. You are mine to kill, the tabby warrior thought.
After attacking the log for a while, her fury began to calm down. All these threats from MossClan were making her more on edge than usual. Especially because she could faintly taste MossClan scent on the wind.
She started walking back towards camp. She had to be there to protect her Clan, in case her enemies invaded.

She meowed "so the cats going to the gathering are, Featherclaw, Gingerbird, Dustfoot, Hawkfang, oneear, cloudwing, Leafpaw, Cinderpaw, and marshpaw" Brokenstar mewed
