Nightclaw blinked, thrown off. This was not what he was expecting. Usually Boulderpaw wouldn't confide in him... Or for that matter, ask questions like this? He thought about this. "Well... I must admit, it takes a bit of courage. You honestly just have to act like yourself, any decent cat will accept you for who you are, even if you're nervous and act unlike yourself at first." He paused, wondering how Boulderpaw would take this. "She-cats are just... Another friend."

marigoldpool sat boredly lapping at her paw, waiting... she was thinking alot about Nightclaw, and how long she had been crushing on him. she had never worked up the courage to tell him how she felt, but she was working on it. just tell him - no don't... ughh.... her eyes were troubled as she thought.

Nightclaw shrugged at Swiftshadow, and followed Boulderpaw. As they hurried forward, he dropped his jaws scenting the air. His pelt now lay soaked against his pelt, and he began to shiver slightly. Through the rain he couldn't smell anything. Surely the rain would wash away the border markers?

Nightclaw sighed. "The rain will wash away any scent, including the border markings!" He said loudly, over the rain, which was becoming denser and denser.

"Do we try to mark the border or what?" Boulderpaw asked, still in a hurry to get back to camp. He hoped the other two toms thought it was to get out of the rain.
