Willowbreeze yawned a little, sitting outside of the warriors' den and waiting for the dawn patrol to be organized. She hoped she would be on it. Even though at the moment she was a little groggy, she was sure that a bit of hunting or searching along the borders would wake her up. Plus, she had always liked the rain. She looked over as Heatherstar announced the cats that would be going out and sighed as she didn't hear her name. She watched as they left, wondering what she would do now.

Turtlepaw yawned, stirring and blinking open his eyes. His vision was still a little blurry as he pulled himself up and gave himself a quick groom, wandering out of the apprentice's den and looking around. It seemed like the patrols had left so he sat down and yawned, observing the remaining clan.

sorrelcreek nodded at heatherstar, standing up and padding over to cedarfang and ashenbriar. he didn't say anything, just waited for them to get ready then they could head out. he wasn't surprised he'd been put to a patrol, if anything he was happy his morning would be busy now.

wasppaw's ears perked up with surprise when he heard his name called for the hunting patrol. standing up and following his mentor, spottedfire's scent, he wondered how this would go. he was okay at hunting, but it was a challenge. at least he could be alongside his mentor.

"Ready?" he asked, wanting to get out and then back out of the rain as soon as possible.

Marigoldpools heart dropped as she realized she wasn't on a patrol with nightclaw, or on any patrol in general. She sighed and padded into the Warriors den and neatly groomed herself.

Spottedfire stalked a plump shrew and leaped at it, catching it easily. She had great patience and skill at hunting so she almost never failed a hunt. She looked back at wasppaw, who was watching. "Remember, patience is key" she said her voice gentle and encouraging.

Nightclaw tilted his head. "Are you alright, Boulderpaw?" He asked, as the trio set off for the opposite side of the forest then the stream.

Dovepaw jerks awake as a loud snore reaches her sensitive hearing. She rolled her eyes playfully as she noticed Smokepaws' tossing and turning.... And snores. Oh well... Now that I'm awake, I may as well do something useful!

The young she-cat lifts herself to her paws, and out of the apprentice den. She notices Bluepaw, and walks over. "Morning, Bluepaw!" Dovepaw meows pleasantly, greeting a friend of hers.

With a yawn the warrior stretched in her nest. She looked around noticing most warriors where still asleep. She carefully padded around sleeping warriors and then out of the den. Maplewillow noticed a few others where up an about already. She dipped her head towards a few of the apprentices and then at some warriors. "Good morning." she meowed. She enjoyed hunting and hoped maybe to be sent out on a hunting patrol that day.

The sleek long legged black tom looked down at the young apprentice before returning his gaze to Nightclaw. "I'm ready. It'll do some good getting out and checking the borders." he meowed in his dark velvet voice. He held himself proudly, not only because he was prideful but also due to having such a lanky body and legs. He had to keep them stretch out and loose or they would cramp up on him from time to time.

The young apprentice let out a small hiss as the sun began to poke through the apprentice den. Sootpaw lied there for a few moments, not wanting to get up. He sat up and began to clean himself before leaving the den. He grumbled a bit on his way to the fresh kill pile, slightly nodding towards cats who said hello. He hoped today would run smoothly, so he could relax for the most part. However being an apprentice meant training.

Bluepaw

Bluepaw jumped to her paws as Dovepaw padded over, a smile on the young apprentice's face. "Hi Dovepaw!" she meowed in her cheery voice. She was able to get along with about just any cat, however Dovepaw was probably the one cat she was the closest with the most. They where she-cats, they had everything to talk about from training to crushes.

He felt his face heating up at the gesture, and only managed to stammer, "Y-yeah...." He mentally scolded himself for being so awkward around her. Pausing the conversation for a moment to listen to Heatherstar as she called out who was going on what patrol, he was slightly disappointed to not hear his name called.

Just as Mousepaw felt herself drifting off to sleep again, she heard Heatherstar call her name for the hunting patrol. Grumbling to herself, she stood, stretched, and made her way out of the den, sitting near the camp entrance and trying to blink away her drowsiness as she waited for the patrol to gather.

Boulderpaw blinked at his mentor. Was is really that noticeable that he was flustered? "Me? Alright? Ha! Yeah, I mean, why wouldn't I be? The real question is...um...are you alright?" he said, failing miserably at covering up his feelings.
