Nightclaw nodded. "Well, that's you, Marigoldpool." He meows playfully, refering to her everlasting eagerness to start a new day.

As a new voice breaks out, he blinks, then smiles at his apprentice. "That's for Heatherstar to decide," He says kindly. "If we aren't going on Dawn patrol, would you like to go on some early morning hunting?"

Dovepaw

Dovepaw jerks awake as a loud snore reaches her sensitive hearing. She rolled her eyes playfully as she noticed Smokepaws' tossing and turning.... And snores. Oh well... Now that I'm awake, I may as well do something useful!

The young she-cat lifts herself to her paws, and out of the apprentice den. She notices Bluepaw, and walks over. "Morning, Bluepaw!" Dovepaw meows pleasantly, greeting a friend of hers.

'Well you don't sound like you did but alright." She said as she looked down at her herbs and sorted a pile of dock leaves and setting bad ones into a separate pile.

Flameshadow slowly opened his eyes. He lay on his nest for a few moments, enjoying the comfort of the den. Noticing Smallbrook leave, he decided he should probably get up and moving as well. He quietly padded out of the den, offered Smallbrook a smile. "Good morning," he meowed. "Sleep well?"

Mousepaw still dozed in the apprentices' den, dreaming of stalking a bird. As soon as she lunged at it, her eyes popped open. She sighed with irritation and closed her eyes, hoping to fall back asleep.

marigoldpool padded to the stream and lapped up the water quickly. It felt nice and cold on her parched throat. She padded back to camp,claiming for the dawn patrol to be announced.

Owlkit gets distracted by a small lizard making it's way into the cave. He slowly stalks, then pounces onto it. Delighted he caught it, he looked under his paws to see a twitching lizard tail. It's owner was scurrying back outside. He curled his lip a little, and followed it all the way to the entrance. It was pouring by now so he didn't dare set paw out.

sorrelcreek's nose twitched as he woke up, rolling around in his nest. he smelled the dreary scent of rain mixed with cats, not a pleasant smell to be greeted with. he lifted his head up, looking out from the den at all the cats gathering in the clearing. he assumed it was for dawn patrol and decided he should probably be there for that. heaving himself up with a stretch, he padded out of the den, shaking the extra bedding from his long fur. he joined the rest of the warriors and apprentices in the centre, sitting away from them all and waiting to be told whether or not he was to be apart of the patrol.

wasppaw was sitting outside near the entrance of the apprentice den, listening to all the morning commotion. the dawn patrol was getting sorted, however he already knew he wouldn't be apart of it, he wouldn't be of much use anyway. he wrapped his tail around his paws, yawning.

I pad down, arranging patrols. "On the dawn patrol will be NightClaw, BoulderPaw, and SwiftShadow." I say, continuing, "On the hunting patrol will be SpottedFire, EmberHeart, MousePaw, and Waspaw. On a border patrol to the stream will be, SorrelCreek, CedarFang, and AshenBriar. " I finish, sending the patrols off.

"Okaayyy..." Boulderpaw says, then turns quickly when he hears Bluepaw's name and her scent reaches him. He wishes his paws to move towards her, but he is too nervous to do anything but stare in her direction, his ears warm. When he heard he was on dawn patrol, he was both excited and slightly disappointed that he wouldn't be around Bluepaw anymore. Not like you would have talked to her anyway... he thought to himself. "Sure..." he mumbled to Nightclaw.

She smiles back fondly, nodding. "I love the sound of rain. You?" Smallbrook brushed her tail against his, not one to hide her affections.

Ashenbriar steps forward so the other cats on the border patrol can gather up and head out.
