"Yay!" Marshpaw squealed, proud of himself. He dropped into a crouch, but he tried not to touch the snow. He put his weight on his shoulders and overdid it. The silly apprentice somersaulted forward, crashing into the snow. He climbed out, shivering, and ran to Brokenstar's side. "That's cold!"
"Secret entrance?" the tom immediately perked up at Foxpaw's words. "I want to see it!"

Cinderpaw watched Featherclaw carefully, then repeated the move with her strong back legs. She found it hard to balance on her forepaws, so she fell onto the ground. "I will get it eventually," she vowed and kept practicing.
"Are you alright?" Hawkfang muttered, leaning against Featherclaw protectively.

"That is why you are a good cat," Cloudwing murmured. "But... but part of the rumors are true."
He lay down on his belly, covering his eyes with his paws. When he spoke, his voice was barely able to be heard. "It's true... it's true that I... that I... it was me..." he whimpered.
