[@Dragon: Alright cool! ^_^ I can't see the pictures though.]
Cinderpaw laughed softly. Of course, a nest was a very comfortable place. Cinderpaw's own nest was a bit too small, since it was made for apprentices, and she was the size of a full-grown warrior already. "I love our den. It is much warmer than out here, and I would like to get moving."
She looked around, not seeing Darkstorm.
"If the warriors do not show up... do you think we could lead the patrol ourselves?" Cinderpaw ventured. Then Brokenstar yowled for a patrol to save Sorrelpaw. The kittypet had already gotten into trouble.
"Alright," Cinderpaw meowed flatly. Her expression was unreadable.
Hawkfang nodded proudly to her patrol. "A feast. Especially for leaf-bare. We all did well tonight."
She shook her head and chuckled at Featherclaw's lighthearted bragging. "As senior warriors, we need to be the best at something. Take my strength." She lifted a heavy, thickly furred paw. "I keep the apprentices in line. And in battle, no cat dares-"
Someone yowled in distress, and Hawkfang was immediately on high alert, snarling almost wolfishly. She kicked snow over the prey roughly, then began sprinting after Featherclaw. She didn't know or care who was in trouble. Featherclaw had shouted out a nonsense word that might have been a name, but Hawkfang's protective instincts overruled any objection. She just know some cat needed her help, and some idiot was going to get their tail kicked.
"Let's go!" she shouted, racing after Featherclaw at her lumbering pace.
Dustfoot grumbled, glaring at Cloudwing as he exited the warriors' den. He couldn't stand any of his denmates, especially his traitorous brother. He grabbed the biggest piece of prey and went to find his mate. Once he found Beachheart, he broke into a run and reached her side quickly, dropping the rabbit in front of her. Instead of his usual glare, his expression was soft.
"Here. Eat up, you need your strength," he purred with a sigh. Dustfoot licked Beachheart's ears, then turned to leave. "I need to speak to some cats. I'll be back, love."
Dustfoot walked out of the den, then made sure nobody was following him. He took a detour until he reached the border. Dustfoot had arranged a meeting with Molestar earlier, since he really needed to get rid of those FrostClan traitors. Almost all of FrostClan was traitorous, because they had broken away from the original MossClan. His brother Cloudwing was the worst, followed by the corrupt and evil leaders.
"Are you here, Molestar?" Dustfoot asked in a low grumble.
"Yes! Yes yes yes," Marshkit mewed. He let out a purr, enjoying his Clanmate's warmth. "I'm gonna be the best apprentice ever. Maybe the Clan leader will mentor me. Do you think so?"
Soon Echopaw had to leave and sort herbs. "Okay!" Marshkit called after her. "If you need any help, find me! I'm super smart and I know all the herbs!"
He only knew poppy seeds, since the medicine cat gave him those to make him sleep once. He also knew what marigold looked like, but not what it did. That was pretty much it. Marshkit didn't even know there were other herbs.
Cloudwing woke with a start, and ran out of the warriors' den. He was being assigned to a patrol to save a cat named Snicker. "I don't know who that is," he told Brokenstar. He was genuinely concerned, and it showed on his face. Cloudwing cared deeply about the well-being of other cats. "I will help to save them, but what does this Snicker look like?"
Leafpaw ended up catching another feather, and pouncing on a few leaves he thought were mice. That was it, though. He was exhausted and resting on a snow-covered rock, when he heard a terrible sound. He raced in that direction, terrified that Foxpaw was in danger. Maybe she had tried to hunt a fox, and the fox was now trying to hunt her. Leafpaw wouldn't let that happen. He would fight whatever mangy fox dared to hurt his friends!
