Coyotestar was glad that Nightflower hadn't refused him. He didn't know what he would have done if she had. The tom licked her ear and sat down next to them.

Squirrelpaw smiled at the praise "To be honest, the mouse was slower because he was so fat". She agreed with Shadepaw "I can't wait until we're warriors, we could all go hunting together and bring back so much prey!"

Fallowstream nodded as Bumblepaw crouched down and edged towards the lizard. Luckily it hadn't woken up, lizards weren't known for their excellent hearing. She held her breath as he sound his tail through the dead leaves but the lizard still didn't notice. "Pounce when you think it's about the right distance away"

Hailpaw looked up at the warrior "You really think so?" She asked hopefully. She hoped that the kits were indeed in Starclan, playing happily. Listening to Sedgewhisker's words, Hailpaw felt reassured that it wasn't her fault, and that she really could be a great medicine cat into he future.

Rain song came back from a hunt with a shrew. Minnowreed had said not to do much activity, but she had easily caught her prey with no extra hassle.

Nightflower rested her head against her paws and closed her eyes with a soft sigh. She was still weak and tired from kitting and the slightly above average blood loss she experienced from it. It wasn't like she was at risk for death or anything though. Once she woke up she could talk to Coyotestar about burying her kits but for right now, she just wanted to rest for a while.

Bumblepaw's tongue stuck out slightly as he concentrated on the lizard. He had stopped moving after determining that he was close enough to pounce but he was currently trying to judge the distance between them. Suddenly, the apprentice sprang forward. Instead of landing on the lizard in a proper fashion though he sort of just ended up flopping on top of it since he had spread out his body more than usual in an attempt to be able to land on it even if he misjudged the distance. The impact had killed the creature though, even if it wasn't necessarily a neat kill.

Shadepaw nodded. She was very anxious about being a warrior, but she tried not to show it. Her ceremony was only two moons away, but her mentor and her leader could knock it down to any day. Being the oldest apprentice, cats considered her more skilled and mature than her comrades, but this wasn't entirely true. Oh, what if Coyotestar makes her a warrior tomorrow? She wouldn't be ready! Shadepaw's mind started wandering and she blanked out, drowning in her own thoughts.

Rock paced back and forth along the scent border, irritated. That darn mouse! He was in the middle of chasing it when it crossed over into Clan territory. Shady was respectful enough not to follow it, but he was still mad about it. Whistle of the Wind, his adoptive mother, was fatigued after recovering from an illness. She needed that mouse! Shades glared and watched the mouse scurry into a hole, safe from his claws and teeth. Suddenly, he heard a rustle from a bush. A clan cat was here! He froze, waiting to see who was there.

Coyotestar watched as the queen slept, he wasn't sleeping, just resting his eyes a bit, still alert. He was tired from the stress of the day, but nowhere near as tired as Nightflower would be.

Squirrelpaw looked at Shadepaw, she seemed with worried or concerned about something. "What's wrong? If you're worried about being older than us, I'm sure Coyotestar will make us all warriors together, he's nice like that"

Fallowstream couldn't help but laugh at her apprentice's unusual technique. "I told you flopping would work! I bet you have scales all over your belly fur now!" She walked over to help her apprentice get up by lifting him up by his scruff.

Ashpaw's light blue eyes looked around as he stood near the elder's den. He had brought a bird over earlier for Mountiandew and had decided to sit patiently nearby if they needed anything since he had not seen his mentor much today. He saw the sun making his way down and wondered what else to do.

Shadepaw was hesitant to believe what Squirrelpaw said at first, but she nodded her head. Coyotestar was a good guy, and everyone in the clan knew about her anxiety. She licked her chest fur down, embarrassed that Squirrelpaw could see into her thoughts like that.
