Jayfoot looked back at Winterstar "I just got up this morning and smelled some death, i wasn't sure if it was the kill pile or something else, but when I went to the smell, I came here" His green eyes were widened with some fear, the kits body seemed to as if to be leaking saliva, not blood like he normally saw death "It looks like.....he ate something?" he was puzzled, he looked at the poor kit who told him to shake the kit "Also, dear littlekit, I can tell she died, her chest isn't moving..." he was still confused: What happened?

Lakeripple had awoken slowly, and then she heard Jayfoot's yowl. Even though she wasn't where he was, he had successfully awoken her from a half-asleep state because his yowl was so loud. She went outside of the Warrior's Den, trying to find where Jayfoot's scent was. Then she realized he was in the Nursery, and darted in there. "Why are y- FOXKIT! What happened to her?!" She yowled, loud enough to wake the entire nursery and a few cats not in the nursery, and the sight of Foxkit being dead, along with the smell of death, had made her tail bristle large enough that one could mistake it for a tiny pine tree.

Nightheart, who had been in the medicine den asleep in his nest, yawns and looks at stoneheart "what's going on?" he asks stoneheart confused, rising to his paws

Stoneheart glanced at Nightheart. "Seems like Foxkit died overnight," he replied. "We need you or Littlemoon to see what caused her death," he replied, flicking his tail.

Silentear's fluffy white tail curled around her snowy body, her eyes opening ever so slightly as she woke up. The elder, who had suffered with poor hearing since a kit, and lost it altogether not that long ago, hadn't heard the commotion outside, and so took her time getting up and washing her soft fur. The pretty she-cat was still fairly young, about 40 moons old, though couldn't carry on with her warrior duties once losing her hearing.
Eventually, Silentear finished grooming herself and got up, making her way out of the elders' den. Her eyesight seemed to have been strengthen since she lost her hearing, and so her eyes were instantly drawn to movement in the Nursery. Curious, she padded over, poking her head inside. The lifeless body of Foxkit wasn't what she had expected to see. She let out a yelp of horror, her eyes wide as she looked at the other cats, wondering what had happened.

Littlekit looks up at Jayfoot. "what do you mean? Are you sure Foxkit isn't just be--" she jumps to her paws at the loud yell, backing into the edge of the nursery. The amount of cats around surprised her, causing hher to fluff up like a little cotton ball. It was then that she fully woke up and realized the situation. She yelps, followed by a whimper. "S-should I leave?? " she didn't want to be in the way, and she was holding back tears from the loss of her den mate

Nightheart a eyes widen "what?! Is his body on the nursery?" he quickly gathers a few herbs in case there was even the slightest chance of saving the kit
