She padded up to the body before sitting down, her head hung. Acornpaw wished that Minnowpaw wasn't actually dead, but being a medicine cat apprentice, she could sadly tell they were. Acornpaw watched as Sweetpaw lapped at the seeds. She felt extremely bad for the tom, for she knew they were close.

Acornpaw's mind went back to what Duckfeather had said. Soneone had drowned him? She shook her head; it can't be a Riverclan cat. No, it couldn't be, right? It could be a badger, but everyone would've scented it on Minnowpaw. But all they could smell was Riverclan.

"AcornPaw?" he saw her shiver, but he felt the same way A RiverClan cat drowning a apprentice? He wasn't sure if it was true, but he had a feeling it was... "I still don't belive it... Minnowpaw..." Jaypaw started to have memories flow to him, Minnowpaw was a great sole, but he knew that this wasn't over.

Stonepaw padded back with the rest, glancing wearily around. Settling in a sunny spot, he twitched his tail, thinking to himself.

The cats of Riverclan were all in shock, hearing about the death of one of their own. There were many accusations on who it was, but it seemed most could agree it was their deputy, Voleheart. Over the course of the day, cats distanced themselves from him. Nobody wanted to be the next victim.

It wasn't until later that Creekstar declared they would vote out the killer. Once that happened, accusations were flying again. As Voleheart went around to collect the votes, the cats voting for him showed fear or anger. One even tried to claw him. As he delivered the votes to Creekstar, he debated in whether or not to lie about the votes. He saw the look on his leaders face,and didn't.

Before Creekstar even spoke, he knew his deputy would be exiled. Everybody did, probably. Quietly, Creekstar looks at the deputy. "Voleheart.. Im sorry." he flicks his tail in Sunstone's direction, as to tell her to escort the tom off their territory. She nods, and gives him a slight shove to get him away from the camp. On his way out, Voleheart knew that there were meows of happiness. Not many wanted him as deputy anyway.

Sunstone sent him off at the border, towards the world alone. "And in case you thought of joining a neighbor clan, Im going to tell them what you did!" she hisses after him. In the following moons, Voleheart quickly perished from the cold. Meanwhile, the real killer was safe and warm in their best.

Boo, hiss! You exiled an innocent cat! After losing his deputy, he promotes Badgerfrost to deputy.
