She smiled in gratitude, a faint thanks escaping her lips. She tore into the rodent immediately, it's stained fur strewn around the grass that encircled the two mollies. "I'm always a bit drowsy, to be honest." She hummed between bites. "And even then, the barn cats kept picking away at my nest of hay -- it's quite soft and seems valuable, though. I'd scold them for it, but I keep being told that I should be more nice. So.. might as well try it. ..For today, at least." She snickered to herself. It was no shock that not many cats came up to Noel and piped up a conversation, usually intimidated and fled by the time they saw the glint in her eye.

leopardstrike padded out of the barn and squinted his eyes against the glaring sun. overslept? he pondered, sitting down and beginning to washes ears. he never was prone to sleeping in, although he has to admit the struggle of the past day and a half have taken a toll on him mentally and physically. leopardstrike exhaled heavily, glancing around the clearing for his apprentice, goldenpaw. he supposed he should also have a chat with boulderstar of how in starclan's name they were gonna find a way out of here.

The tom nodded, bounding down the shaky wooden stairs of the barn. Realizing the medicine cat had only woken up, he impatiently stood at the barn doors for a few seconds, allowing Willowbreeze to take her time. He quickly noticed the molly's swift actions and continued his way to the fence. They walked through the grassy field before coming upon the looming fence, Boulderstar's gaze falling onto Tornado as she lay on the ground. A stir rang in his heart as he watched Cypresspaw try to help, feeling a bit bad to have left the apprentice here with a birthing queen. Shaking the thought away, he turned to Willowbreeze. "Here she is, Willowbreeze." He responded awkwardly, stepping to the side, allowing her all the space she may need.

flamefall chuckled. "being drowsy all the time is understandable. honestly, i'm usually half-asleep during morning patrols... or every activity throughout the day, really." the she-cat replied, her eyes almost lighting up as she poked fun at herself. pondering noel's response for a minute, flamefall shrugged. "i mean, you certainly didn't come off as unfriendly in the first place." the warrior took a bite of the remains of the mouse, simply leaving tattered fur and a tail left behind. although she could scarcely be caught admitting it, flamefall was beginning to accept the company of these "shelter cats".

Noel nodded, taking the shallow bone structure of the mouse and flicking it into a nearby bush. It's rumble caused a mouse to scurry out from the underbrush. "Well, I guess you came on a good day and just managed to land on my good side." She stood, stretching her paws out and unsheathing her claws, digging into the sunlight-blanketed dirt. She looked to Flamefall, seeing the shine of light off of her flame-tipped pelt. "Hm, what do you want to do now? ..Ironic, asking a cat what they want to do in a place they don't even know the name of, huh." She asked, laughing quietly as she said the last sentence under her breath a bit.
