I don't know, it's pretty massive news that Fantastic Beasts will be five movies, as declared by JK herself at the global fan event (I'm so gutted about that, I won tickets to London but I couldn't make it down there because of the stupid trains, so I had to let them redraw someone else who I hope adored their night as much as I would've done).

Anyone got plans yet for seeing Fantastic Beasts? I've not decided yet. Nobody wants to go to the midnight showing with me. =(

Also, did anyone else get and read the Pottermore Presents ebooks? Not too much new material, but there was some on Slughorn, and on werewolves. I enjoyed it. Although... did not wholly enjoy finding out Yaxley's canon first name is Corban, lmao. He doesn't look like a Corban to me. Still, better than some of the ones I've seen in fics...

Aww, lol, glad it still makes you smile! It's my favourite bit - I think I just really like chases, the fireplace escape and running from the Snatchers were A+ scenes.

I watched the live stream, and I'm pretty sure it's all FBAWTFT. They already hinted the next one won't be in New York, Newt will be elsewhere, and there'll also be some focus on Grindelwald and Dumbledore?

who's your favourite character and why?
It's Yaxley, for reasons beyond all common sense but I just get such amusement out of him trying to get one over on Snape. Plus he's a total bad*** for blasting Greyback away on the Astronomy Tower - how many people would have the guts to do that? xD He's also very cunning and a wicked duellist - he held off Flitwick, a duelling champion who later defeated Dolohov in the same battle. And for a last reason why, I absolutely love watching the fireplace escape in the film - he barely even runs!

I also like Snape a lot for his complexity, and movie-Scabior is brilliant - that was actually one of the changes I liked, and I am atrocious for grumbling about missing plot points/changed storylines. xD I much preferred Scabior as the leader of the Snatchers, and I love Nick Moran's portrayal of him. (I also like to head-canon Scabior as contaminated by a werewolf scratch like Bill Weasley, to explain his super strong sense of smell. And let's be honest, if he runs with Greyback and they fight, it's possible...)

Probably also canon butterbeer - hot and foaming. But I would happily sample stuff from Honeydukes too - peppermint toads definitely sound my kind of thing.

In other news, I was reading the latest article about MACUSA's founding. Did anyone else see that Rowling made a mistake? She said that the wizards went to Washington (implying DC though that's never explicitly stated) as early as 1777, thirteen years before the city was founded. Does she know? Will she fix it?

it's absolutely amazing and beautiful. i love it so much. the diagon alley area looks exactly like the movie set, its amazing. It looks like you're stepping right into the movies, besides the tourists of course.
