" why only grant three wishes when you can grant them all "
pronunciation: bee - sh - low

The Bishlo species have only been recently discovered
even though they have been around for quite some time. Due to
industrialization and the increasing population size of humans the
Bishlo species have come out of hiding.
This species originated back to the old Chinese guardian lions,
also referred to as Foo Dogs. During the course of time of human
discovery, the Foo Dogs decided it was time to lay dormant. Before
however, a number of the Foo Dogs mixed with various breeds of
dogs, thus creating the Bishlo species. The reason for their decision
is unclear, however its been theorized that the Foo Dog's decided
to leave decedents to take care of this new age of man.
While they are not as regal and/or powerful as their Foo Dog
ancestors, they still have abilities that are unique only to their
species. Their ability is to be able to help/bless people during
their travels. The ability to grant difficult wishes to depends on
their age and previous successful times of charity. All Bishlo's
are born with a rope that is wrapped around their body.
Their signature bells first come from time and training.
A Bishlo must acquire the first three bells to become recognized
as a true Bishlo. Without these three first critical bells they
are only seen as a normal dog to the human eye.
The Bishlo are not counted as
a dog breed due to their heritage and their
unique characteristics. For their anatomy, they
are quite stocky and front heavy built.
Notable features that set them aside from
dogs is the large protruding bottom fang
and their permanently shut eyes. Their
ability of navigate around is not inhibited
due to the inability to opening their eyes,
they are able to see by having their other
senses on hyper drive. They seem to get
around quite well this way.
The three bells are the three major keys to
the Bishlo's power. These all represent three
different things.
- The bell on the neck is the one of empathy
- The larger of the bells near the tail represents
their magic
- The smaller of the bells near the tail
represents their wisdom
Once a Bishlo is fully recognized as a full Bishlo, they are able to be seen by people who are in need or seek to fulfill a grand wish. The Bishlo either travel is groups to accomplish the needs of many or travel alone to grant wishes to those who they pass by. When a person comes across a Bishlo and demands a wish, they must give a bell to the Bishlo. When the Bishlo is able to complete their wish, a bell rings to notify the Bishlo they have done and adequate job and to also notify the human that granted the wish that it has been completed. If the wish was a grand wish, one that required great difficulty, when the wish is completed a bell is placed onto the Bishlo's rope next to the others.
When a Bishlo's rope is filled with bells, a monument is placed in their honor. At this point they return to be invisible by human's, however in great times of need they are called upon.
The reason speculated why Bishlo's have bells is that it's tied into a symbolic meaning. A bell is rung when a Bishno completes a wish, which then the bell appears onto the rope. Another reason that humans have come up with for why a bell is significant is that when rung their Foo Dog ancestors can be notified of their accomplishments.
Unlike their Foo Dog ancestors, the Bishlo's do age, however its at a very slow rate. When the time comes for them to pass on, they fade away leaving only a singular bell that has their name placed upon it. During the time when they are alive, very little can kill them. Only other magical beasts and other Bishlo's can lead to death to a Bishlo. Also, while Bishlo's are able to eat and drink, they do not have to for survival.
