"i don't know... it's possible the twolegs could notice..." she mewed silently, her pelt bristling. she stepped back from the fence and glanced about, then she quickly grabbed a bundle of sticks in her jaws, setting just enough down in front of the hole to half-conceal it. "hopefully it'll work." she said determinedly, turning to nightclaw. despite the edge of determination in her voice, her eyes betrayed her hesitation.

flamefall left the barn, relaxing slightly as she felt sunlight beam down onto her dark pelt. as she scanned the clearing, her eyes landed on the she-cat she had spoken to the night before. flamefall shrugged and padded back into the barn. amber eyes closely watching rafters and upturned boards, the warrior froze when she spotted a scrawny mouse under a plank leaning against the peeling wall. before the mouse could react, the she-cat had lunged forward and snatched the creature up in relentless jaws and gave it a swift end.

sauntering out of the creaky barn, she hesitantly approached noel. mouse still hanging from her teeth, flamefall piped up nonchalantly. "morning."

If he changed his mind, she would always have a pit in her stomach. Wishing he were there. She laughed. They sat close together, and she was happy with that. She gave him a quick lick on his head.

Ooh! I have an idea. While all the cats are escaping, how about a twoleg comes to check on the cats and sees the cats escaping. When a few cats are left to go through the hole, the twoleg quickly snags them (maybe 2 or 3 cats?). The twoleg boards up the fence and the cats that are still in there have to find a new way out.

Immediately, Goldenpaw's eyes widened. "Bu- But that's against the warrior code! Leopardstrike would have my pelt!" She spluttered, shaking her head. "If it's the only way, sure, but if we can, let's just haul it up there. Plus, what if the other birds take notice that we're chomping away at their kin? That'll for sure make them angry, or at least alert enough to run," She squabbled, and despite her rumbling stomach and the fact that eating a little would probably be the most logical idea, she couldn't help but cringe when she imagined how Leopardstrike would reward her.

"Yeah, of course," He nodded, grinning. It was shocking how one she-cat could disappear so fast. "Good idea, where do you think she is?" He asked, cocking his head with curiosity, awaiting her reply. He wasn't sure whether her ear was flattened in jealousy or what, but he just assumed it was her stomach acting up and brushed it off. "Honestly, I don't think she could've gotten far, maybe just resting under tree shade or something."

Noel's eyes were closed as she laid sleepily under the oak tree's blooming shade. They fluttered for a second, her irises raised as she met Flamefall's gaze. A faint smile crept on the molly's lips, parting them slightly to speak. "Good morning." She exhaled, eyeing the mouse that dangled from the dappled she-cat's jaw, it's tail just inches from her pale pink nose. She scooted herself forward a bit, forcing her teeth around the tip of the rodent's tail. She looked up to Flamefall again to question her, speaking out of the side of her mouth. "Huhmm.. wanna share?" She smiled with a breathy chuckle, her words dashed.

"you seem just as tired as i am." the warrior chuckled. "and of course. that is, after all, why i brought it." flamefall admitted, turning to groom the fiery patches of tortoiseshell fur on her shoulders.
