I . . . don't know how to describe it. >_< In Cards, I want to get to the end of the chapter (with Lyn and Pax in their new dorm room) so I can switch the perspective and have Kaolin write a letter, but I introduced this new character, and I don't know how to end the chapter with her showing up.

Hm. Could you imagine the situation without this new character? I'm not sure if it would help or not, but I might as well mention it.
If you could picture the chapter ending without her, maybe you could find a more subtle way to introduce her. (I don't know how important she is or whether you've already planned an entrance for her, so maybe this won't work at all.)
Otherwise, I'd probably just write alternate endings until one turned up that I liked and/or I ran out of muse...-_-
