"No, nothing's wrong." Jack answered, uncomfortably shuffling on the seat before pulling his back from the soft seat. He tried to look as normal as possible, but like always, acting normal never worked for him.

"You look uncomfortable," Katinti said, narrowing her eyes. While most of her brain was focused on figuring out this Jack person, there was a part that absently wondered why no one had tried to take her order yet. Then again, she didn't even have a menu, maybe they assumed she didn't want anything... (lol idk why i went off on this tangent but here it is)

[ they're wary of her, they know redwood can read people ]

"What are you?" Jack asked quietly, leaning forward. "You're not just a hunter. I know this for a fact." He said with slight annoyance, wishing people would be honest with him. He wouldn't harm anyone, ever, unless they posed a threat to him.

"I told you." Katinti smiled lightly. "I'm a demon... hunter." This time she emphasized the words, putting space between them to make the secondary meaning of 'demon who is a hunter' obvious.

The annoyance wiped off his face. Jack frowned. "Demons aren't real." He said with confusion. "I haven't seen one, and I've never heard of one." He sighed. "Just please be honest, I'm seriously not in the mood right now."

Katinti let her eyes blink black for a second before turning them back to normal. "You have now." She smiled. "Don't worry. I have no reason to hurt you."

A demon. So that means.. there's Hell.. Jack thought, his eyes a mixture of extreme fear and confusion. He didn't have a reason to trust this woman, especially if she was a creature of the fiery pits. His eyes caught the flash of black in her eyes; oh, that set Redwood off. The dog started barking, before dashing to the door, the leash around Jack's right hand causing him to be pulled out of the seat. He wasn't angry, though. It caused him to have a valid reason to get the hell out of there. Pushing the doors open, Jack was pulled by his dog to somebody's random car, Redwood sitting with an obvious glare of protectiveness. He breathed heavily, his legs slightly worn from running. Too bad for not having much adrenaline there, it would of helped.

Katinti winced; that wasn't good. She needed to explain that she wasn't on the side of the demons, or he might set a hunter on her ass. Probably not, after all that talk of how horrible hunters were for killing the poor innocent monsters, but you never knew... reluctantly she got up and followed Jack out the door, calling after him. "Wait! It's not what you think!"

Jack ducked behind the car, his chest heaving from more fear than being out of breath now. He didn't know what to do; he didn't know what demons could do, he didn't know their motives, he didn't know how to kill them.

[ i know katinti asked him if he knew how to kill demons before, but let's just say that didn't happen.. i changed his character, he doesn't know what demons or angels are. ]

"Please come out, I know you're here! I can smell your soul. I swear I won't hurt you. I'm not like other demons," she called, practically spitting out the word demons. (I watched a spn ep earlier where a demon said they could smell sam's soul a mile away, and that might be just sam bc of the demon blood thing? but im assuming its everyone for convenience)
