It had been a long day. Well, not really.. The sun was still out and there were many people roaming the streets. However, in Orchid's mind, 7 AM to noon was considered a long day. The girl had been awake since early in the morning, and had the urge to visit the human village just to look around and explore a bit. Orchid didn't enjoy traveling very often, but today was an exception. Besides, it wasn't boiling nor freezing outside, and there were enough people walking around to blend in. The slender female made her way around the streets and wandering individuals, before sighing at how boring everyone seemed. The girl stretched her arms, probably smacking a few people, before untying some cloth around her wrist and wrapping it around her layered white hair to pull the strands up and off of her sweating neck.

Orchid continued to wander around for some time, before her pale eyes landed on a small group just a few meters away. There were 3, no.. 2, wait, 3 people standing around a little area. One of the shadows was towering over another, and at first, they appeared to look like a single person. Curious, the female strided across the ground and made her way over to the bunch before pausing and looking at the three. With a small grin, she commented on the scene. " Aww, what a nice little family. "

It was unsure if Orchid meant this in a serious way, or in a joking manner. However, the three could have truly been related in some way, now thinking about it. The elf girl placed her thin arms on her hips, and waited to see if anyone from the group would reply. Perhaps they'd lash out or simply take it as a compliment. Either way, Orchid would probably smile her way through. She responded that way in many situations.. She just found it easier. The female's tied up hair softly bounced in the fresh air as she continued to wait.

A shadow hauled itself out of the thick waves of water, before faintly disappearing behind a large boulder. A somewhat large skin was thrown over the rock's edge, before a small girl walked out, looking around with deep black eyes. The light wind brushed through the female's loose, long hair, but she didn't seem to mind. Eden honestly didn't think about much, except for protecting her precious seal-skin. In fact, the girl's pale hands quickly snatched the drying skin, and held it close to her chest possessively. She had heard the stories of humans appearing and taking away a selkie's seal-skin like a prize. She didn't care for the humans one bit, and only hoped that such a thing wouldn't happen to herself.

Looking around, Eden's dark eyes scanned across the area. She hadn't spotted another one of her kind in a while, and it seemed as if most were disappearing. Selkies weren't a very common species to begin with, but it seemed a bit strange that she hadn't seen one in quite some time. Sighing, Eden dragged herself away from the water in hopes to find something nicer to wear.

The monster stopped, tilting his head to a side in consideration as he moved to stand beneath the tree in which the girl perched upon. At last, he gave a mere shrug and slouched against the rough bark, letting it's trunk support his demonic weight. "Waging war would be fun and rather exciting against these boring days... but war is like a cup of water, it can tilt to one side, then another. No, I would not like to wage war, not when it wouldn't be clear and not if we aren't the rule makers. " Kenai concluded, flicking a glance towards Chiyoko, a glance that seemed to say and don't you dare try to wage a war without me. After a moment of silence in which Kenai took the time to observe these scrawny human beings, he spoke again, this time his voice held a little irritation. "And let me rephrase what I meant before... you don't need to be here because I've already got monsters patrolling this area, in which they would report to me and you."

The girl froze, her eyes narrowing as she took the elf's words in, oh how she wanted to punch his beautiful and perfect face, especially when he stated her as a child. A child! If only he knew! But before Shikira could even retort a nasty remark that would have finished her for sure, a clumsy girl stumbled across the man. Wait no... those ears.... "What bad luck I have today... seeing two elves among humans... god, this can't get any worse." She didn't bother to hide her dislike as she muttered those words under her breath. Realizing the male elf's eyes were still on her made her squirm a bit and Shikira had to bite her lip to stop her cheeks from flushing scarlet red. Before Shikira could utter another foul word, a voice piped up from behind.

Shikira whirled around ready to bite somebody's head off when she froze. Sure she couldn't see any elf ears, but having spent some time with that half of the family allowed her to distinctively mark each being as human, or elf. She gritted her teeth, pushing her will power to convince her flames to stay inside as she took the girl in, and only then did she feel the gut pain that had constantly stabbed at her in her child hood.

The three superior beings now around her were absolutely elegant and every curve was distinct and flawless. And for herself... she was nothing... nothing at all.

Fight gone and completely hollow on the inside, the mixed breed simple muttered: "I don't belong here... you guys enjoy yourselves." With a faint wave, the girl followed the crowd, her scarlet hair disappearing into the masses.

She laughed light-heartedly his look. "I won't do anything with out you, Kenai." With a sigh, she raised one of her small, pale hands into her view and turned her fingers into small blades. "But who knows if one with all the information would be killed by a hunter? Sure you could kill one, or I could, but what of the weaker ones?" Chiyoko looked down at the humans, eyes hardening, though she kept her insinct in check so they would not detect her. "Hunters can kill them. Some creatures could be killed by normal humans as well, or imprisoned by them." Her hand clenched and transformed back to a human one, so she would not cut herself. How many had been killed by hunters since she got in power? Sure, the number had dropped, but still so many.

Once he helped her up, he watched the human-looking half-breed walk away in anger, and looked at the ground. "Perhaps, you scared her away," he murmured, Turing to the newcomer. "That may have not been the wisest choice of words to introduce yourself with, youngling." Tilting his head slightly, he observed her cautiously. "An apology to her may be in order from both of us, considering she dislikes elves." He could tell her prefernces on his kind by her actions and words. This elf seemed very cocky, a trait that he disliked, though many young elves had it. "As for me and this one"- he gestured to the one sitting down-"are completely unrelated."

(Ladies, ladies, there is enough Kieran to go around. XD Oh, and warning, Kieran has a hard time understanding sarcasm and crushes. )

There wasn't much of a response, except for one of the creatures commenting before walking off. Sighing, Orchid watched as the figure disappeared into the wild crowd of people. Suddenly, another voice piped up and the female turned her head towards the sound. Another elf stood before her, and Orchid observed the male before focusing on his words. It did seem like a smart idea to apologize, but the other female was already gone. They might not even see her again with all of these crowds around. Sighing, Orchid's expression faded into a rather blank one as she stared off towards the direction the other female had run off into. "...I... I didn't mean to offend anyone, " Orchid's soft features hardened, " I was only joking and trying to start a conversation. "

The elf had quite a difficult time making friends, it seemed. She honestly didn't want to upset any of them, human or creature, but it seemed like she had. Orchid began to scratch at her fingers before the familiar voice spoke again. Looking up, the female listened to the elf's words once more before averting her gaze down at another girl, rocking herself on the ground. Nodding in understanding, Orchid made one last comment towards the girl. " It's not so wize to be sitting on the ground like that. With all of these people around, you might get stepped on. "
