"Listen, Fabe," Van began, her face softening. "I don't want to pressure you into saying something you don't want too. I just want to know what's going on so I can help you. Whatever your feeling, it's clearly making you upset. I should know. I a--" She paused for a fraction of a second, wondering if she could still say this after he had yelled at Shade for not being normal. "--m your best friend." She finished, hoping he didn't notice her pause and take it the wrong way. ------
Shade stared through the window, looking at the rows of people inside, talking or reading magazines. He took a deep breath and pushed the door open, walking inside with an air of purpose. A friendly-looking woman called out a greeting and he strode up to her, offering the largest smile he could muster, which wasn't very big considering how he was feeling.

"Hello," He began. "I'd like to make an appointment. Now, if at all possible." The woman skimmed through a clipboard with several papers, scanning over names and timeframes. Her lips pursed slightly in concentration before she said in a cheerful tone, "Yes we do! We have an opening right now. If you'll follow me, I'll introduce you to Michelle."

Fabian frowned at Van and let out a sigh as she said that she was his best friend, he knew that was true, he felt the same way about her. "I just don't want to live like this" He muttered quietly, his pretty, pale peach coloured eyes narrowed and he frowned further, feeling dejected and useless. He put his hands lightly in the pockets of the pants he was wearing and blinked twice.

"Oh... And I'm not gay" Fabian added and shot Van a small look, frowning once more, he let out a sigh, feeling nervous as to what Van's response would be.

Van's face remained soft and relatively emotionless as she listened to him, trying to keep an open mind. She was prone to yelling at people when they prodded her tolerance too much, and she wasn't sure if she would find Fabe's reason "acceptable" so to speak.

"Live like what?" She asked quietly, not following him. Her stance went rigid as he told her he was not gay. Why was he kidding himself? was he just tired of all the abuse? She restrained the urge to release a bitter laugh. No matter how much he denied it, he wouldn't be able to escape his true feelings and in trying to, he would never be happy.

"You're not...gay." She finally said, though it was like she was confirming what he had said. She seemed lethargic in a non-reacting way.

"Live like this! With the constant teasing, with the dirty looks! All of that!" Fabian exclaimed and threw his hands in the air, his pale eyes narrowed slightly and a frustrated frown still firmly on his face. He crossed his arms more firmly across his chest, looking like an angry child more then anything.

He frowned further and dipped his head. "Yes, I'm not gay, I like women" He said firmly and frowned very forcibly at Van, trying to make his point come across. He sighed, still feeling guilty and rather depressed about what he had done to Shade, he rolled his eyes and looked off to the side once more.

Van's eyes suddenly narrowed and a deep challenge was reflected in their depths. She walked towards him, until there were but inches between the two of them.

"If that's true, then kiss me. Right here. Right now." Her caramel-colored hers stared into his and a soft smile flirted with her lips. Even though she was a lesbian, she was still a woman. Many straight men were attracted to gay girls. This would be an interesting test.

Fabian's eyes widened and he put his hand over his mouth in shock as it popped open. "WHAT!? No! I can't kiss you! Your Van!" He protested, his eyes wide and indignant, plus he had not real inkling to even WANT to kiss a girl, that made him frown and he looked at Van very closely, most boys would find her attractive, frankly even he thought she was pretty, very pretty, but not in a way that made him have any desire to do anything inappropriate with her.

"Are you saying I'm not attractive?" Van pouted, batting her eyelashes at Fabe. "I've gone to bars and been flocked by straight men for the entire night. It's just a kiss." She twirled her hair between her slender fingers and gave him a decidedly seductive smile.

She leaned close to him, until their noses were practically touching. "But you won't be able to do it, because you're not really attracted to women at all, are you?" She said in a soft, smooth voice. Her almond-colored eyes were scorching. Oh yes, Van was putting on the s*xiness. (XD)

Fabian looked helpless, his eyes wide, he bit his lip. "I-I do like women!" He protested, feeling insanely awkward with Van being that close to him. Would he really have to kiss her to prove it? But kissing girls was gross! He puffed out his cheeks for a second and then closed the tiny gap between his own lips and Van's and gave her a rather forceful peck on the lips.

He pulled away quickly and was tempted to wipe his mouth, feeling very dirty, he shook his head slightly and then looked at Van firmly. "See!?" He exclaimed with a huff, his cheeks flushed pink with embarrassment and he hoped to god no one he knew besides Van had seen that.

Van felt their lips press for the briefest second, and she pulled away, covering her mouth with a slender hand before she burst into laughter. Doubling over, her cheeks flushed with a soft blush, because, it was even embarrassing for her, she struggled to gain control of herself.

"Sorry." She chuckled. "But I just got the feeling that that was perhaps the worst experience of your entire life. Do what you like. Pretend your not gay, but I won't believe that claim. Not for a second." She said, winking at him.

Fabian's face turned outraged as Van laughed about the kiss. It wasn't THAT funny! Am I a bad kisser? He thought, suddenly getting insanely worried and fiddling lightly with the bottom of his white shirt so it looked right under his burgundy jumper. He let out a small "Ggrr" sound and glared at Van.

"It wasn't the worst thing! I-I liked it!" Fabian lied and frowned slightly as Van said she wouldn't believe him, he scowled at her. He was sure he wasn't gay! Frankly he'd NEVER had a sexual encounter with either sex, so he really wasn't sure, though he found boys prettier then girls, but he wasn't about to tell Van that.
